Glad I didn't stay up to see the end of this one. Between the never ending league-wide officiating issues (most of which are understandable, it's effectively become an impossible job) and knowing the amount of brain damage I'm witnessing real-time it's getting harder and harder for me to watch football.

I saw that play but somehow missed the call and was wondering how the hell we ended up where we did on the next down

If you donít think the league has interest in a team going deep into the season being undefeated drawing buzz and ratings- then youíre either a casual observer or not paying attention.
Thumb on the scale?? -the NFL? Never.

Edit: if Kittle and Sanders played SF wins. We lost Lockett tho too. WK 17 rematch is going to be

This has been my take for the last few years. This game wasn't decided by the refs, which makes it easier to stomach the maximum back and forth mediocrity that produced most of the drama. Probably set the record for punts in a 10-minute OT.

But the head injury (and the injury lottery) thing is a real damper for me, too, and makes it a lot easier not to sit down until after the half (when the Hawks finally start to play anyway).

I think that punishment is overly harsh in the circumstances. He wasn't that bad. Maybe give him a warning?

Steelers lookin' at Kapernick this Saturday? If you don't have a line that can pass block, you might as well have a QB that can take off running.

Apparently there are 11 teams showing up for that workout. Teams scared to stick their neck out until they have a posse.

I’ve seen a LOT of Vontaze Burfect games, especially against the Squealers, and that, while awful, doesn’t even compare to Burfect.

Browns D has been terrorizing tonight. Deserved the ejection for sure, but refs got reeeeeaaaaalll ticky tack all of a sudden after that.

The rematch in 2 weeks just got a LOT more interesting!

HERE WE GO BROWNIES! HERE WE GO!

    Damn, Myles, What. The. Fuck?

Way to ruin a solid win.

While Myles wins the hold my beer moment of recent memory, go back and look at Burfect’s entire catalogue. They’re not the same player. Not even close. There’s a reason why Burfect isn’t in the league anymore.

That said, this is singularly the most bizarre thing I’ve seen happen on a football field. Punishment will be severe.

Expect hotter than hot takes to follow.

I saw the clip, but is there video of how it started? All I saw was the ball dumped off, and the camera followed the play, and by the time they went back, it was right before the helmet got taken off. Obviously, some shit went down before that.

    All fixed now though.
