xposted from Shit That Annoys You thread, because it is super annoying.

NFL Redzone is a great station if you like football, but I hate when they split the screen in 4 instead of focusing on a play for one game. I have a decent size 55" Tv, but you can't really see well when split in quarters. I would rather see one screen/game and see another play 10 seconds later rather than see 4 plays live that I cannot really see.

Vikes 28-0 end of third. Didn’t see this coming. Optimism increasing for the season. Skol!

It makes perfect sense...until you think about it.

I suspect there's logic behind the madness, but I'm too dumb to see it.

Appears teams have Cam Newton tendencies figured out. A bit like Kaepernick in that respect. Good for a while but becomes predictable. He can't risk running much anymore.

    SKOL! Vikings D looks good.

My optimism is tempered though because while Dalvin Cook and the Vikes are scary; Cousins and the Vikes, not so much.

It's nice being on the other side of a 4th quarter collapse for a change.

Why? Cousins may not be a top tier QB but he is certainly more than competent to lead an offense and he has some awesome weapons at his disposal in Diggs and Thielen (and obviously Cook). along with a solid if not great defense

I am old enough to remember when newly drafted QB's carried a clipboard their first season. Playing first season should be the exception, not the rule.
AZ on their way to ruining second QB in a row.

Cousins went 8-10 and only 98 yards. 1 TD. He was efficient but only had ten pass attempts. His QBR looked good last year too and yet the team went 8-7. And that was with Diggs and Thielen who were arguably last season's best receiver duo.

The problem is Cousins is an overachieving underachiever. I hope to be proven wrong but Coach Zimmer said his goal for this season is a more balanced offense. In other words, a more balanced offense is a euphemism for how the Vikings can win, won today, if they avoid relying heavily on their QB.

Isn't Cousins something like 4-25 vs winning teams in his career?

Holy balls, poor Rosen. Hopefully he's shagging some hot tail in Miami, because his future is pretty bleak.

I don't know about the underacheiver part, but he is an overacheiver for sure. He tries hard, he has some heart, he's smart, he's not afraid. He's just not that good.

Vikings fan, and not a Cousins apologist by any means, but the dude seems to be a lightning rod for criticism regardless of circumstance. Fans like to pin all credit and blame on QBs, because fans are dumb, and this is easy.

Cousins has played for the Redskins (arguably one of the most consistently mismanaged franchises in the league) and last season, for my Vikings (who have seemingly had a bottom tier O-line for the last 100yrs) under a first-time OC who didn't last the season. Not exactly a prime setup for gleaming QB career stats IMO.

He's an above average quarterback, capable of performing at or above the level of Zombie Peyton Manning or Good Nick Foles. Many years that's not enough, some years it is.

I would agree that he's above average. I've watched that guy a lot, I want him to succeed. I'm not sure he will, but he might, maybe.

I’m always shocked at the Cousins’ and Stafford’s of the game. Teams will keep slightly above average QBs for years, all the while knowing they don’t really have what it takes to go all the way.
