Kastle MX 98 194 cm x 3
Three pairs of 194 cm Kastle MX 98 - only selling two of the three
First pair - BNIP, second gen MX 98 $600 plus shipping
Second pair - second gen MX 98, skied 250-300 days, one cracked edge under the foot on one ski that’s been there for 2 years and hasn’t grown, slight delam of the top sheet behind the binding on the same ski, mounted once for Look Pivot 18s on the line for 305 BSL, $75 plus shipping
Third pair - first skied 50 days, bought used, mounted for Look Pivot 18s at 305 bsl on the line, Jester at 315 bsl on the line and Jester demos, holes plugged with wood and epoxy. These things are the burliest skies I’ve ever been on. My old GS skis were softer and easier to ski. Buyer be ware, these are damp, hug the snow, and go from 0-60 at the blink of an eye. There is a reason Kastle nurfed these when they did the second pressing of the MX 98. $275 plus shipping only if you dare
Looking for a BNIP 187 Bonafides or BNIP 187 Brahmas, would consider trades

Careful buying those other skis. I put mx98s in the same room as bonafides overnight once. Next morning, bonafides were torn to shreds and my mx98s were 10cm longer and looked brand new again.

Bump, I’m sort of surprised no one has jumped on any of these. Maybe my pricing is wrong? I know the BNIP MX98s are priced high, but that was on purpose because I want the other two to go.

I’m not at all knowledgable on the rarity/market for these skis, but I did scratch my head at $150 for a pair of delaminated/cracked edge/300 day old skis....

Kastle MX 98 194 cm x 3
Yeah I screwed that up. Sentimental value doesn’t equal market value. I’ll fix that. Is $75 the right price? Not sure they are worth shipping at any lower price.
Prices adjusted, more info added, buyer be scared of you get the first gen Kastle Max 98s

I think people are scared of the 194s. Those who aren't already have a pair. Either that, or they're like me and will never ski fast enough to find the speed limit on 184s.
I've given the 194s some serious thought. Anyone who likes monster 98, bonafide, etc, but who wishes they were just a bit longer and stiffer should check em out.

If you want a bit more then then 187 version of the Bonafide or Monster 98, then 194 Kastles should be on your radar.

That's literally what I thought I just said. I think we can all agree someone should nut up and strap in to these man sticks.

You did, in different terms.
If they want the older two pair, which one needs some epoxy and it will be fine, the other is just a big adult ski, I’ll do a group deal on both pairs.
Why don’t you grab a pair?

So I will chime in here. I have been through 6 pairs of these and have 3 more in the wrapper. Hands down the best ski made (for my type of skiing).
Mine had delamed in the exact same spot as your pics. If i was u, i would give the delamed pair away for just shipping. As great as the ski is, it delaminated and is more or less broken.
600 is a good Price. On the second generation pairs, i got 2 pairs and paid 1k each.

Oh and the bonafides are not in the same category as the Mx 98.

Yeah, if that’s the case I might just keep the pair that’s delaming and make them into a chair or table. I’m sure someone can give it a shot at fixing them, but not sure it’s worth it to me.
I’ve been breaking in the first gen pair, and wow are they damp and fast. I love how sharp they are, and how much edge hold they have, just not sure how much everyone else does because they fly.
For less then $600 I’ll sit on the pair in plastic still until the first gen pair dies. Just not worth it to me to walk away from them for less then that. I just don’t see anything else like them being made these days. Guess I should get on the 191 cm Volkl M5 Mantra and give them a rip.
The Bonafide and the MX98 are definitely in the same category. Both are intended for every day skiing, and both do it will, just with different styles. You need nearly perfect form to make the MX98s work, you can relax more with the Bonafides.
