How F**cked am I?
Noticed a little play skiing my first gen Radicals on hardpack this weekend, particularly skating & making hard right turns. Thought to check boot fittings today, found the above. This is left boot, inside fitting
Boot is the new Tecnica ZeroG Scout. Boots have ~20 days on them, 40% skiing on pins. I've been on dynafits for ~8 years, never had a toe fitting go wrong like this
1. Is this warranty-worthy? i.e defect in workmanship
2. If not, is it possible to replace a toe fitting? Sneaking suspicion the answer is no.

Seems warranty worthy if you ask me...

That's not a Dynafit certified inset, I would guess. Remember ThinCover?

Technicas do have dynafit certified inserts.
But Ellen kicks ass - if she had a beard it would be much more haggard. -Jer

Is the other side also focked ?
looks warranty able I would send this pict to Technica and ask them
I don't think you can replace a toe fitting in a boot so probably new boots
i think if the pins repeatedly come down not in the holes this can happen but then maybe the metal is improperly treated or sft for the fitting to wear like that?Lee Lau - xxx-er is the laziest Asian canuck I know

Honestly, nothing. Two touring days at Yodelin, coral reef at Stevens a few days, and icy bumps at Whistler this weekend. Ejected once appropriately. The remainder of days spent in either shifts in DH mode or Baron/protest skiing hippy pow. And the contralateral fitting shows no wear.

Could be a poorly forged insert, it happens.

With them being this years boots, and only having ~20 days on them I would talk to Technica, this sounds like a warranty claim to me

How F**cked am I?
Just fill the void with some g flex. (Don’t do this...also have a good look at your pins.)

Warranty that shit. As mentioned Tecnica uses Dynafit inserts. Ideally go through the shop you purchased the boot through. You could get a replacement sooner than later.
