Alyeska — 3/14-3/19
Going with my wife, her friend, friend’s husband. I’m the skier. Hoping some mag(s) would be willing to show me around the fun stuff in exchange for lunch/beers. Can provide comedy through jokes/skiing ability. Hoping to hit NF/Christmas, etc., conditions permitting.
Love and kissss,

I mean... it's so small you can ski every run in about an hour. just follow the trains of children around (it's spring break)
That being said I'll probably be there that friday and maybe monday afternoon. Its not that I suck at spelling, its that I just don't care

Thanks — I don’t know much about it. I want to explore but I don’t want to wind up over a cliff I don’t know about or ski off a back bowl or something and wind up with a four hour hike on my hands...err, feet. Side country, hike-to terrain. That kind of thing.

I’ll probably be at the resort at some point during that time. I’ll for sure be touring at least one of those days.

It is Storming here for real!
20"+ over the last 24 and more is coming.
Today was sick
You are in luck
what skis will you be on?
It is not a big place
I may say hello
-you will not get lost, but you may scare yourself, as the resort has actual steep terrain.
Christmas chute will not be open, but the North Face rocked today for the top 1300'

I’ve been watching. So lucky and psyched. I’ll be bringing BD zealots w/ older dukes.

No actual contact — we knew it could be an issue. He’s a rescue; he’s got issues.
My wife pulled something together somehow. Coming in with the storm!

They are assessing Christmas chute as well as Ragdoll to the Knuckles and the High T today.
Look at the map.

42" over the last 3 days, more Wednesday
It is decidedly not cold however...most likely rain on the lower mountain

Interesting - different land tenure system from Canada. Don't know why, but figured Alaska would be even more open than BC.

Looks like there's a bit to keep you entertained inside the ropes, but I hear you, shame to miss out on that slackcountry.

I’m not really sure what’s the slackcountry you’re talking about though? Everything that you can ski and end back up at either the base area or the tram is all inbounds. They just rarely if ever open it. Biggest problem is base elevation is 200’ and it’s been real thin down low the last 6 years.

I was looking at that face that's marked Max's southwest face.

If you skiied that you would end up a looong way from the base area.

Since Byrne got tired of skiing in the rain and sold to the Canadians maybe it will happen.

Can we get the flats groomed for skating? Rope tow?
