I'll be there. I'm a bit beat up from Downieville, but I think I can drag myself out ....

I'll be the one rocking the nasty bruises on her right leg (again!).

    See you then!

Sweet! I almost endoed on that sketchy fireroad section at the bottom of BB last time. I was on an unintentional full speed nosewheelie for the longest 3 seconds of my life before I brought my ass down and avoided certain death.

another fun evening ride, despite my flat that kept us out way past dark. Sorry!

Descender - so sorry we lost you! Did you go straight after coming down Manzanita? We hit a sharp right to hit Crosscut, so I figure that must be where we got separated.

Love that we're becoming regulars at Mountain House. Especially Ding Dong Dan Don .

    .
No worries. Yeah I missed the crosscut turn off.

Hopefully I will be better prepared to keep up on the climbs and flats next time. I may have to switch out my tires to something smaller and keep the saddle up all the time (which makes me feel like I am going to die on every corner).

What is the route you guys take?
    Fir
    Manzanita
    Crosscut
    ?

    Crosscut
    Climb out on Gordon Mill
Scoot down Skyline to Bear Gulch Road
Bear Gulch Road to Blue Blossom
let it all out on Blue Blossom
Climb back out on Gordon Mill
Then either take Skyline to the parking lot or take Sierra Moreno back to the start of Skeggs to the lot.

We still have to beat the record set two weeks ago, when we lost the new guy within 50 feet of the entrance when he took the left fork instead of the right one

Good to meet ya, Descender. See you again next week!

    Ok thanks.

My route is usually something like:
    Sierra Moreno
Climb up to Manzanita, then hit it
Climb up to Crosscut, then hit it
    Giant Salamander
Then North / South leaf to some road at the west side of the park
    Right on sweet road
    Right on skyline
(the climb out on the road is sooo much easier

Particle, you should hook up with Ty and Nater if you're ever up in Auburn/Folsom. I've done some great rides with them there.

Thanks for the link and the great ride on Wednesday. Alan and I are still planning on riding the Demonstration Forest on Saturday if anyone's interested.

welcome skihippie! Glad to see you here! Welcome to the nut house.

I'll have to pass on Soquel, though it breaks my heart to do so. I just have way too much to do to go to SC. If you end up back at Skeggs - lemme know!
