cross posted in the what song are you listening to. I just heard about this woman from a video a buddy (who is friends with her) posted on FB. I guess she was on some rock star competition show 15 years ago and is on America's Got Talent right now. So you may have already found her long ago, but I just did. Goddam she's good, hope the AGT thing works out for her.

Bonus side boob in the first one.

I guess these guys have been around for a bit but I have never heard of them. Psych stoner rock. New album is great. Their previous albums I have not fallen in love with though.

Video is kinda cheesy, just listen without it.

Wow, Storm Large on America’s got talent. Thought she had a decent career between Pink Martini and her solo. Played the Flynn theater in BTV a couple of years ago and brought in a good crowd. Hope she plays this song.

Lars's abuse of the low end on ...And Justice For All is well known, and there are a bunch of fan remixes and play alongs of the album on YouTube that attempt to restore some bump. I've tried out a bunch of them, and while most of them are interesting experiments, I think this guy's is the absolute best. He did five versions, each with increasing bass levels. Personally, I find his remix with the least bass amplification to be the best. In line with the rest of Metallica's discography, the bass never dominates; there are only about four times during the record where you think "oh shit, that was bass guitar right there", but for the most part it never sticks out, distracts, or muddies. Honestly, I'll probably never listen to the original mix again.

Theres this 80's British group I heard NPR do a story on in late 2019 or early 2020. I checked them out and want to hear more, but I can't remember what band it was...

I think they may have been a one hit wonder, new wave group. The story was they reinvented themselves and came out with 2 or 3 more records which were polarizing among their fans & critics. I think the album I listened to had a drawing of a tree or something on the cover.

It's driving me nuts. Any guesses?

Say what you will about annoying deadheads and I'm there.
Even lots of the fumbling noodle ons.
But in their day, the GD musicianship rocked.

    Those were great days.

Burdock. Found them by watching an old whitewater kayaking video that they were the soundtrack for 20 years ago. Don’t think they ever made it much farther. I sought them out and bought their first two self produced albums.
