today was more of a grind but the boy hung tough. first a weather delay, then groups getting a little backed up, sunny and 10 degrees warmer. lots of spectators and players and volunteers cheering him on and complimenting his hard work. he never admitted he was tired but he was out cold in 2 minutes after hitting the bed

    2019 PGA

    Amazing day at Liberty National.
Weather couldn’t be any better and the track was in top notch shape.

Taking a boat from lower Manhattan to cross the water.

View on the way was a big plus.

Northern Trust hospitality at 18th green.

    https://youtu.be/XHYah3pUEPM

    Their cocktail list was insane.

    Ran into Ian Poulter.

    Dechambeau.

    The track.

    Driving range.

    Brooks’ tired of slow play.

First time watching Matthew Wolff in person.
    Swing your swing!

    https://youtu.be/a305dY1RBFM

Watched Web Simpson chipping in from the right side bunker at 14th.

    Lefty.

    https://youtu.be/I9r2ClSY7xI

Always a pleasure to watch Rory teeing off.

    https://youtu.be/ipwnw0okt3c

    The villains.
    Reed & Rahm.

Rode the same ferry back to the island with Shane Lowry.
Congratulated him for the Open and wished him a better day for tomorrow.
Couldn’t ask for a picture together to a tired player.

I'll be a marshal on hole 15 if anyone is going today. Blue helmet and sky blue Arcteryx pants, Praxis or Gotamas. Say hello.

Turned out we boated in with Abraham Ancer which whom nobody recognized.
I did notice his sponsored shirt but thought he was either hardcore European fan or press of some sort.
    Oops.

Our bags were delayed forever in Newark coming home from the Open. There were at least 30-40 people hanging around. A guy I was with asks this guy where he played and he replies Muirfield. Yeah, that was a bit awkward.

Yeah, well those guys are really the lucky ones. They're pro's and nobody bothers them. Although, they'd probably prefer the bank accounts of the guys who do get noticed.

Other than top 20 players, most people won’t recognize most PGA players.
For an example Kevin Kisner at 29th place and earned 3 million this year will breeze through a crowd.

Funny story about my buds that went to the NT this past Saturday. These guys are drinkers and always get into some shit, so I wasn't too surprised when one texted me this pic of Tommy Fleetwood.

He also texted it to his brother who is not a golfer and was not there and his brother responded "tied for 48th-move on", Although I know nothing about him TF seems to be a very cool guy and I then see this video confirming it. Damn it, I can't upload the video but it is a video of my friend and TF together and he says "Hey Sean, i don't fucking appreciate that man. 48th ain't that bad". They then proceed to throw the bird. Not seeing the video kinda takes away from the story, but...

I worked Sunday and showed it to several people and they all got a kick out of it. The hole captain tells me I should post it on their FB page and I knew that was not a good idea. When Tommy tees off on 15 he walks right by where I was manning the gate and I told him Sean says hello and he gives me this surprised look. Towards the end of the tournament when the last group is clearing 15 a cart comes flying by. People standing there are saying I think that was Tommy Fleetwood. I show a couple of them the video and they all get a good laugh,

Amazing story-until they tell me the next day that it was not Tommy, but was another guy working at the event that everyone thinks is Tommy. I saw the picture and the video on my phone in the sunlight, so I couldn't tell that he was wearing a radio and a worker pass.

I probably did? But that was before you were even on this board...2013. Phil won! The crowds were especially nuts on Sunday with the leaders because Lee Westwood was winning, so I just followed Phil. By the 10th - 11th...I don't remember...it started getting crowded around him and by the 16th-17th it was a shitshow. I was cool though because I saw him play lights out with virtually nobody around for a while.

The Fleetwood interview with Feherty showed him to be a really cool guy. Ever since seeing that I typically pull for him if he's close to lead.

That trip we played Glen Eagles where the '14 Ryder cup was going to be held. Honestly, was not impressed with that course when compared to others I've played over there. Although, that day a I played a with a younger guy who was a scratch. He shot 2 over first time playing the place. It was fun to play with him. The caddies were blown away at his play especially bombing 340yd drives. He's the longest hitter I've ever played with...what a different game he plays compared to me.
