Life Coach Cerification

Hopefully Parvo can help us here. Just saw a good looking woman on Tinder describe herself as a certified life coach. So, of course, my first question would be to her, how exactly does one get certified for such a profession? I'm fascinated that this is now a licensed trade , of sorts. This could be a four drink plus conversation.

My life coach would advise me not to multi task serious stuff at my stage of senility.

Meh, who's to say I'm not. Certainly wouldn't feel the need to post a TGR PR thread about it. At your age, not sure you need to be concerned about profession.

At the risk of actually answering the question, I got one a month ago or so. There are a million ways to do it and it's not (emphatically) any form of licensure - state or otherwise. There is an organization that certifies the educators according to a specific set of protocols.

The schools submit to the overseers and they are either accredited or not. The accreditation is generally considered to make the class legit, but you don't have to do anything in any state or jurisdiction to call yourself a life coach. That said, learning to do it is a thing, and there are commonly accepted techniques and approaches.

Coach told me she look an online course, but I think she just put it on her business card under Nail Technician and Licensed Massage Therapist.

She was a chronic prevaricator, petty thief, shiny-faced hat inventor, but definitely not a life coach.

I think you get certified by the same organization that certifies emotional support dogs. You have to be housebroken and neutered. You can be brought on to planes by your clients but you have sit quietly at their feet.
