    Guy's lucky as shit, those trees went by pretty damn fast. Apparently they built a booter that sent him airborn right into the slide zone. Probably seems somewhat unwise in retrospect.

    I know the UAC etc says "guardsman pass" but anyone know any more detailed of a location for this? it doesn't look like NE bowl 10420 for example. also wrong thread I know I know.

    So the story is that it was inbounds, but in a roped-off area (Palisades) that patrol had not opened. They claimed that they didn't see a rope or there wasn't one where they entered the area.

    There was talk of them being charged, but not sure if they ever were.

    There seems to be a trend with the Palisades (quite rowdy, albeit short, inbounds terrain) being closed more often than it used to be since that event.

    Steep convex rollovers make both perfect landings and perfect avalanche starting zones.
