Perhaps. I don't do asphalt, but if we're on dirt or snow, I could be in.

Yeah, Dirt. I could use a little route finding help in Corner Canyon, I have only ridden there twice.

Could still happen for you. A couple nice days and those trails will go again

Supposed to mid-50s the next 4 days with close to an inch of rain Wed-Fri. Pretty unlikely there will be snow on Rattler, et al. by the weekend.

If you end up road riding- just ride from your hotel up emigration. go south to 800 or 900 south and turn east. 800 south turns into emigration canyon so you can't go wrong with that one, but there is more traffic. stop by contender bikes on your way up for directions or gear or whatever. they are very helpful. you could also do a foothills bench ride through the avenues area which will eliminate a few very steep hills, but add on 5-10 miles to your trip. Hit me up if you need more info or directions. I don't ride CC much, but it could be a muddfest by the weekend with melting snow and a week of rain...

My money is on dirt being rideable, although this winter is never ending. I'm very ready for some outside ride time. And yeah, Emi from downtown is simple.

Are the bench trails as sandy (or rideable when moist) as Draper?
Looks like no moisture for two to three days before that Saturday, so I am hoping for the best!Forum Cross Pollinator, gratuitously strident

I just hiked a short loop with the dog on the shoreline SLC, it's nasty right now. Slush, mud, ice, and some good dirt. It's possible in 10 days sections down by Red Butte would be OK. There are a few spots that are known for bad clay such as "olympic hill" - the steepest part of the shoreline if you're climbing from dry creek to bobsled, that you'd want to avoid. Best chances would be down from Hogle Zoo over to Red Butte and mess around over there.

Corner Canyon area is pretty mucky right now. Rain, then snow, beginning tonight. Rattler etc may be good by Saturday, but that seems entirely dependent on how much rain we get and how quickly it warms.
If looking for dirt, Eagle Mountain may be good by Saturday, but that is a legit haul from the Little America.

Saturday sunny, high of 55! Sounds like a great Emigration temp.

This storm'll be wrapped up by tomorrow morning and a clearing/warming trend starts. Fri looks to be sunny and mid 40s, 50s by Sun. It'll be nice weather for a cruise up Emi. You won't need fenders.

Even the lower stuff in Corner Canyon is inudated with drifts. It's either roadmo, or full on fatty tomorrow.

Here. Nice today, but a surprising amount of snow left in SLC. Ate at Del Lago Al Mar, ready to spin up the hill tomorrow. Thanks for all the beta, guys. I will be back down in Draper next Saturday, but the weather is sort of a repeat of this week. I may just bust through to Gooseberry.

Road ride was amazing. Felt like Superman going up Emigration, passed like 18 people...then two Colombian looking Cat 1/2 whippet types blew by me like I was standing still, and made me remember that I am a 52 yo schmuck from Snowy-Ville.
The hardest part of the ride was 800 S. And 1100 East!
Glad I started from town, though. Went to where East Canyon is shut, then down to 80, and back up and over Emigration.
Proper first ride of the season.Forum Cross Pollinator, gratuitously strident

These were cool
Where does this go in the summer? Is it paved for a long way, or is it good gravel?

It runs into Jeremy Ranch. It varies between decent gravel and rutted out poor road depending on the year. There is a short section that is presented as private. I don’t know if that is factual
