I sold 20,000 of these to Disney when I repped Timex. Never got a sample. I should buy this one for shits and giggles.

^^ awesome; reminds me of my Captain Eo LCD watch. It used analog hands displayed on an LCD IIRC.

I have a Swatch type watch with the logo of my old, now defunct, law firm. NIB! Wonder if it's worth anything.... might have to dig it out. Now where did I put that. I come across it all the time when I'm not looking for it but now that I want to find it.....

I just got a new watch (present for myself for getting a new staff job.) I did my research and hate to break it to Schingler, but dollar for dollar rthe best automatic dive watch on the planet is by a relatively new company from England (watch is made in Switzerland) : Christopher Ward.

600m water Resistance, rugged Swiss movement, Ceramic Bezel. Went to pay for the thing on their website and the Honey plugin found me a $150 discount. Fuck yeah I'm happy.

To OP: They also have dress watches. Check the site.

^ I like Christopher Ward watches a lot. Great quality and very well priced (especially with a discount). I’m looking to get one of these when they’re back in stock:

One of my daily drivers I am wearing now - seamaster aqua terra. Can dress up or down, especially with a band swap.

And I am digging these Oak and Oscar watches, mainly from a styling point of view. Not super impressed with the movement but fit and finish are awesome.

Can anyone suggest a good place for replacement metal band for a 70's era Omega ? I had my dad's old watch refurbished and the band that was put on by the repair guy is a piece of shit.

strapcode.com has some decent metal bands for a fair price. With that Omega you’ll have to make sure you get the right width, and more importantly, you need end pieces that fit.

Edit: it looks like you might have trouble fitting the Omega from strapcode - end pieces might trip you up.

There’s always this, for a fistful of $$$

The Apple Watch. Duh. Stupid analog / mechanical shit that is unreliable, forget about it. That Casio calculator watch will probably keep time better than most $$$$ watches.

Keep ducking. If I was interested in just knowing the time I'd look at my phone. Watches are jewelry. Plain and simple. In my case the only jewelry I wear other than my wedding band.

I don't want some nerd communicator on my wrist. I'll find out if I have an email by looking at my phone. There's just something (ironically termed) timeless about nice wrist watch.

    You probably served KQ....

I had a conference at a ski resort.... stayed a couple extra days to ski with friends. One of the bartenders from the conference ended up being a friend of a friend. Best day of skiing by far was following him around.
    focus.

I haven’t worn my Speedmaster in a few months but saw this Planet Ocean on Captain Slowly’s wrist in an episode of Grand Tour recently and I’m now on a mission to add a second Omega to the box. Lovely.

    Fantastic.

This one is on the wrist nearly every time I’m on the water and it is an outstanding regatta watch. Tons of value with this one.
