What's the discount they give this year for buddy passes?

Props to A-Basin for offering a discount on a child pass. Need more little rippers to grow up skiing there. $996 for 2 adults + 2 kids is a killer deal especially when you consider that the same passes down the hill at Keystone would cost $1256 + holiday restrictions + VR shitshow.

I do know (from a very reliable source) that A-Basin has continued to say no to Alterra\Ikon. Hopefully it stays that way.

You can easily do Keystone Copper in the same amount of time when it’s closed and Breck isn’t much more .
Well, that is just the I70 shit show for ya, everyone kinda deals with it. I still think they have a strong enough brand to stand up on its own, definitely at 400 bucks for a pass that goes from Oct to May/June.

Damn, that is a killer deal. Sure wish Big Sky would offer some sort of family deal but they never do.

They have 19-20 military passes listed somewhere? This season I was bummed when they released the military pass after the season started, after I had already bought my liberty pass.

I, personally, am glad - it makes it easy to immediately identify a new transplant-gaper.

It isn’t pay only now: it 1/2 pay and carpool and 1/2 free.

Just commenting as I've seen it mentioned by several people that it's 15 minutes past LL, but it's just not anymore, if talking about powder days from Denver. Main reason I ditched vail this year.
I've had part time places in the mountains several different years and that changes the whole scenario for me personally. Maybe the person that skis 10 days a year doesn't care. I probably won't do a basin pass unless I rent another place in summit.

    https://www.summitdaily.com/news/ara...veral-resorts/

In the coming months the ski area will be discussing opportunities with several resorts and resort groups,” ski area spokeswoman Katherine Fuller said in the press release.

Nice to hear additional reciprocal days maybe coming beyond Taos. When they say "resort groups", hopefully they are talking about Powder Alliance or MC. It's all good as long as the keep telling Alterra to shove their Ikon pass up their ass.

Any solid ABasin rumors? Independent? Teaming with Loveland? Going Ikonic?

Rumor is Abasin is going to build a 3 story parking garage with dedicated space for CDOT vehicles. Call it a partnership.

Rumor I am starting right now. Just spread it.

I like this idea. Not the garage so much, but the idea of spreading rumors about it.

Pretty sure many people are saying Abasin will be solo for 2019-2020.

Rumor is that Abasin is going to focus on specialized events, like a "Bacon Day Fest", where they can shut down the resort for the day for a closed event and charge mega-money! They keep talking about huge closed event days for the ultra elite... personally, it seems like a bad idea. Could end up being the Colorado version of Fyre Festival... but, I'm no expert, this is just what people are saying.

A few days at A Basin would be a pretty awesome addition to the Silverton pass. Front Rangers could have their Epic/Ikon pass plus get a few days at A Basin and Silverton, and us east coasters would get a few days at Smuggs, MRG, and A Basin on the way to Silverton on a trip west.

The OG Silverton unguided pass had 5 days @ ABasin, Loveland, and Monarch.
    Which was sweet for me.

I'll file that with the high speed monorail along I70 idea.

Just for reference, in 2002 the cheapest monorail built in the US was in Jacksonville FL, cost was $81 million per mile. Las Vegas was $150 million per mile, both on flat ground and you want to build it where?
