    What a season...

Great tracks, great races, I hope they keep a stop in the US.

Just watched some Hardline and it seems the race coverage is way better than World Cup. Seems like it shows much more of the course.

YES, I noticed the same. It almost seems like some of the cameras in the woods were remote (i.e. not tracking the riders) and the others were manned...which suits me fine as we get to see more of the course AND they're televising both Qualies and the Race. Can't imagine more budget for Hardline as there's only ~20 competitors.

Hardline is sick, and yes the coverage is better. Also, Rachel kind of won me over today. She always kind of annoyed me and I couldn't put my finger on it.....I think she did a great job with Rob and seemed genuinely humbled watching those guys on that track.

I've only watched qualies so far, but track coverage was way better for sure and Rachel was great in the booth.

She’s definitely got the camera presence figured out. And she had a great perspective on the actual challenges of managing different jumps, carrying speed, conditions, etc. I could see her making a future of this when she grows tired of being injured all the time.

This is my take for the most part too.

I love the Hardline track, seems like there was maybe a little to be desired from pulling in more top level WC athletes though.

    2019 Racing on Dirt

Agree. It’s an awesome spectacle, but has always missed out on being a full fledged competition because the shallow depth of competition. The reality is that there are 2-4 solid contenders and then a bunch of the Atherton’s friends. By the time you account for crashes and flats, it’s usually just 1 or 2 guys competing for realz.
Unfortunately, it’s not worth the risk/reward for most top 20 WC riders.

Yup, that's my take as well. It doesn't have the excitement of a WC race because the level of competition isn't there. And the level of competition isn't going to be there because it's too dangerous and the payout isn't worth it.
