With that margin of victory it should almost just be Pierron on the podium by himself.

Considering how close the rest of the field was... for sure.

He had an extra gear (or just didn't touch his brakes)...

    Anyone following the XC?
Kate and Jolanda... hope this turns into a long standing rivalry.

That short track was fun to watch this weekend and the power that they put down is insane.

Crazy to see those racers not going WFO as they dial in that track. No wonder they all increased their stack height and built up new wheels.

What a cluster for qualis... bummed they can't read the weather to get these things done so they have at least a modicum of same/same conditions.

Expect Finn to be in a much better place next season, what a “welcome to the big leagues” season this has been for him, massive hype (rightly so) coming in, had to have been a humbling year.

How much does the GOAT have left in the tank? I wonder if he is finally starting to feel his age? 37 isn't old, but it is when you are racing 20 year olds.

Got to watch this one in person. Super interesting watching sections live, then watching how it looks on the tv feed. It's the super minor things that are the most impressive. The fast guys manage to find traction on the shittiest, most off camber wet roots. The tv doesn't really convey the awkwardness of some sections, especially since these guys make it look so smooth.

I didn't bother taking many pictures, but here are a couple random, blurry shots.

    George Brannigan

    Amaury

    Not sure who.

Rad you got to see it live.
Unidentified looks to be a UR kit so maybe Fayolle or Sik Mik.

Were you there for just finals day, or practice and quali days too? How rideable does the track look for an every day Joe?

We just made it for finals, so didn't get to see the track when it was muddy. For finals, the only things that might be a problem for a normal rider were the drops. Especially the bottom one into the finish line - that thing's big. The section right above the "plunge" is properly steep, but it didn't look too bad to ride (although I'm sure it was gnarly when it was wet).

The thing that doesn't come across on the tv feed is how awkward some parts of the course are. They tape it so that you're coming across a bunch of diagonal roots while cornering in an area where you really want to carry speed. So it's not necessarily difficult to survive through those sections, but it's really, really hard to carry speed through them.
