Google+ clusterfuck

anybody having a bitch of a time moving their Google+ archived files around
in preparation for the discontinuation of Google+?

my archived files successfully download only 50% of the time (plenty of disk space)
when the download is successful, it wont copy to Google Drive.
repeatedly get the message: "copy operation failed - file or directory is not usable"

im using a samsung chromebook, 90% of the archived files are photo albums
this is beyond my skill-set
