Usually itís Woodford Reserve, sometimes Wild Turkey 101, plenty good enough for lifts, trailheads, campfires, etc. I donít like dipping below those as a benchmark, and I donít usually bother putting the really good stuff in - it isnít usually needed or appreciated in flask terrain.

Iím not a schnapps or flavored likker guy.

    Rendezvous Rye, or Blanton's

Always whiskey. Beyond that--whatever's on hand in the cabinet.

Sometimes Laga 16. Sometimes Bulleit Bourbon or Rye. Sometimes standard Maker's.

I keep two flasks full in winter:

One is Wild Ryeís apple pie.

The other is a mix of WT101 and Fireball, about 2:1. Although Iíve just been topping it off with bourbon so itís closer to 10:1 now.
