    What plays well with Shifts?

Thinking about doing two pairs of inserts to accommodate Shifts + a tech binding. What tech bindings work well with the Shift hole pattern? Thanks!

What's the rationale here? Just curious.

Why not a tech and alpine binding if you're going to be swapping? No din-compatible boots?

Even without din-compatible boots, depending on the boots OP does have, something like a Jester with sole ID or Warden MNC would work. I thought the whole idea of the shift was to avoid doing stuff like this, by giving you a tech binding for the up, and an alpine for the down, all rolled into one. Maybe I missed the point of the binding?

I thought this issue was the reason the Shift was invented?
The whole human race is de evolving; it is due to birth control, smart people use birth control, and stupid people keep pooping out more stupid babies.

Ah, I knew there was something I was missing with this one. I mean how else can you show every one that you rip in the backcountry like Cody Townsend? Gotta get the shift, no other way....

I've got Shifts and ATK Freeraider 14s co-existing. Toe is fine, but heel needs massaging. In future I'd probably push the shift heel forward 1cm, and the ATK back 1cm.

I already own the shifts and have them on another ski. New ski is mostly for longer tours, but also hedging my bets and thinking about side country with the shifts.

Maybe it’s just me, but if I see a dude on a hodgepodge of old burly gear I tend to think of him as the more hardcore than the flashy newnew.
