When sports teams started charging the military to come in and do what they do, I have to admit I cared a bit. And wtf with all the night games on weekends? Day games becoming a thing of the past in parts. Guess it is too hot for the families.
Some stuff pisses me off if I let myself think about things. I try not to do that but then the PR pokes.

Maybe they'll start playing more games in London and he'll be able to watch those?
Why are they even playing in London? I see Japan or Korea. Do the Brits even know how many outs there are in an inning, or care?
Who is losing those home games, the Sux?"timberridge is terminally vapid" -- a fortune cookie in Yueyang

AL East is terrifying, I can see why y'all talk about it all the time.
Think Reno would give the Dodgers a better game.

It’s a long season. It’s a weak division. Injuries heal.
My revised mantraI still call it The Jake.

It's not a bad mantra. We've all seen guys have great seasons and run down towards the end, some time off and a chance to come back later fresh is just the ticket some times.

I hear ya, like a 22 game win streak the year after going to game 7 of the Series type worn out. Crazy me thinks this is exactly the kind of gut punch this group needs; a little adversity and some unplanned r&r.
Or I’m just another Tribe fan in another year.
Today’s post game show is brought to you by... oh hell I can’t find it, who the hell cares?I still call it The Jake.

Alex Verdugo is gonna be a star in LA. A flashy Mexican-American kid with a cannon is fun to root for.

Talking heads crucifying the Mets management and front office.
Pete Alonso still keeps blasting homers working on Rookie of the Year. Most for a rookie was 26 by Darryl Strawberry back in 1983; Pete is at 16 and its still May.In order to properly convert this thread to a polyasshat thread to more fully enrage the liberal left frequenting here...... (insert latest democratic blunder of your choice).

After dropping the first couple against baltimore, it's been nice to watch the yankees feast on the birds. With reinforcements on their way back soon and some Gleyber home runs against other teams, maybe they can keep up with the top dogs into summer.

RIP Bill Buckner. We had a rough patch there for a bit, but then I became aware and forgive. Hope you forgive me for those vile thoughts.

My first ever real glove was a Buckner from his Angel days. The glove kinda sucked and made it way harder for a less than stellar player like me. Still have a bit of abusive relationship type fondness for Buckner because of that. The mookie ball was full circle closure for me and that poorly designed pos glove. I felt vindicated

"On Sunday, the last full day of Bill Buckner's life, 16 major leaguers struck out at least three times. Buckner played 22 seasons and never did it once."
