what, 5 HR tonight? heavy is right
Ah right. I was in actual baseball mode. Wall St thing threw me off.

So yeah, I am under the impression that is a lot of money to them. Was reading a run of the mill hit in Sinaloa was running about $35 not too long ago.

Good win there. 7 2/3 scoreless for the bullpen I think.

i worked with a guy from the DR and he told me that they could spin a wheel when getting a haircut. different lower costs were on the wheel but one spot meant you had to blow the barber. Holy fuck. how poor you must be to risk having to blow a dude to save a few bucks. Murica is a pretty good place to live.

The Sox have only hit six HRs tonight. But it is only the fifth inning so they have time to hit some more.

Quite a little 1-2-3 punch in that inning. I was starting to feel bad for the pitcher, whoever he was.

That is insane. 235 pitches!!!!!!!!!!!! I saw a stat on the Met game the other night that showed the top 4 pitchers in the league averaged under 105 pitches per start.

The Dodgers won so it worked out, but the strike zone last night was the shittiest most erratic zone I’d ever seen. I think a little league ump is more consistent. I like some human element with the umps, but they gotta do better than that.

And wtf if true? Is this a little redundant?

"Edwin Encarnacion is being traded to the #Yankees, sources tell The Athletic."

I don’t get that. Why don’t they go after Scherzer

Seattle is paying a big chunk of Encarnacion's salary and Scherzer salary is > $25mm/year.
Encarnacion is mostly a DH/1B and the Stanks already have Sanchez, Voit, and Frazier filling those roles well. Judge and Stanton will also be coming back soon. The power in that lineup is ridiculous, but their offense was clicking without the all or nothing big boys playing. Encarnacion is another of those.

They really need an ace, so maybe they're building up for a trade for Scherzer or another.

I mean the Orioles are snakebit. I'm feeling bad for them here. Weird plays and none breaking their way.

edit: man I can't believe the poor O's have to bat now. It should be an option for the home team to just throw in the towel in the bottom of the 9th.

agree, that trade did not make sense except it seems the yankees got a far better deal than the mariners did on it.

but the yanks need pitching, not getting keuchel ? that might be a mistake.
