Kate Upton agreed with Sam Holbrook. So there's that.

Not reviewable. Judgement call. Torre said the headsets were just used to make sure they were correct in the way they interpreted the rule.

Either way it was a horrible call.

The bat carrying to first was kinda dumb. What was that supposed to be? Showing up? Not sure I got that.

    second that.

after the nationals post-season run and max having to sit out game 5 and come back for game 7; that's too good a world series script.

the astros are a monster and should be back and already won in 2017, they can take 2nd this time.

But has she offered her support to Suzyn in solidarity as a fellow feminist sports enthusiast?

I'd like to see Kate run down the first base line.

It was a less than stellar throw, and luckily it didn't make the difference in the game. BUT- if he had not been to the left of the baseline, the catch probably would have been held, so . . .

Here's a story about it, saying it's a "dumb rule." But what should be the rule then- that you CAN run to the left of the baseline? It's an imperfect situation because the rule gives the runner precious wiggle room to get to the base in the last step (like what if the last step is with your right foot), but not sure what the solution is. https://blogs.fangraphs.com/a-dumb-r...-world-series/

Actually, maybe a new line on the left of the baseline that lines up with the bag?

If the ball is not there yet, the runner has every right to that bag. That's how I have always played.
Thus, it is a stupid rule as currently stated.
