I think Angel Hernandez called it a strike.

    I love everything about this

Actually, this may need its own thread, but having shotgunned many a beer in my 47 years I never saw anyone open the bottom with their teeth before? Anyone? Buehler, Buehelr ( best young pitcher in baseball)

I have a framed photograph of this encounter on my wall. God Bless Nolan.

Whenever Chicago would come to town, they would play a clip of that fight on the Jumbotron. When Nolan became president of the team, he asked the Rangers promotional staff to abstain from replaying it when we're playing against the Sox. Class act.

My college roommate used to have this framed photograph of Pete Rose and Tony Perez on his wall. Autographed and all. Pure class.

That is fucking awesome. It cracks me up that Tony takes his shits completely naked. Those two look so happy to be demolishing those shitters.

Mets Pete Alonso has gone cold post home run derby. Swinging .177 before last night post all-star break. He did get a dinger yesterday that became the game winner, so hopefully that will get him back on track.
In order to properly convert this thread to a polyasshat thread to more fully enrage the liberal left frequenting here...... (insert latest democratic blunder of your choice).

the home run derby always fucks people up.

the Mets are winning so it doesn't matter much right now.

But they're just winning until I start to believe, then they will crush my hopes and dreams with the inevitable comically bad collapse.

Second Baltimore player this week gets hit in head trying to field fly ball. Check Sportscenter, has to be on it. Not pretty.

Oof. That had to leave a mark. First day back in the lineup after 2 months because of what happened in the second clip, yikes.

This weekend should tell a lot about Yankees and Dodgers & both leagues.

There are 3 pitchers in all of baseball who have a sub-3.00 ERA at home and an undefeated record of 5-0 or better in those starts:

    Hyun-Jin Ryu (8-0, 0.89 ERA)
    Clayton Kershaw (8-0, 2.26 ERA)
    Walker Buehler (5-0, 2.54 ERA)

Don’t look now, but the Dodgers walked off another one today and the bullpen has been lights out lately.

Big series for you boys starting tomorrow. You should catch a plane and get to the stadium for one.

The thought crossed my mind as I opened my office door after 6 hours of baseball today.

I’ve always wanted to catch a game at Target Field. Looks nice, and the race is hot. Fun because I don’t hate the Twinkies like I did the Ozzie Guillen led Sox or Boston in any given year.

After watching the Twins/Braves series I have to say I am more than a little impressed with the Twins ability to hit the baseball, and Target Field does look like a nice venue. However there is more to winning a series than being able to hit a baseball. The Indians/Twins series will be worth a gander.
