    Gritty game!

I guess we have to lose every now and then.

Frankie Lindor is clutch as fuck.

    Rubber match!

    Speaking of the Sox...
I'm taking the family to their first game this Sunday. Son 7 and daughter 10. Are there any recommendations for getting in to watch BP? I think my son would really enjoy it. Or would I have to pony up to get the Red Sox Nation membership?

Orioles break through 40 games behind in mid August. Anyone taking bets on 50 behind?

    No one has won more since the ASG I believe;

they’re 26-9 since July 1 and erased an 11.5 game deficit in the division against a team that isn’t tanking either.

No bold predictions, just that they have been smoking hot.

The Yanks have the most wins since the ASG with 23. In the last 30 days the Indians have the most by 1, just in front of the astros, yanks, and mutts. Not that any of that matters, just pour some more salt on the wounds in Boston tonight and it's all good.

As a Twins fan I am scared of the Indians

Hottest team in baseball that will actually make the playoffs - sorry, Mets.

A ring heals all wounds this year. Can't escape the pain of pen wounds, but in the end, whatever.
    Thank god.

Dodgers have scored a lot of runs but: Dodgers starting rotation over the last 8 games:

    Dodgers SPs (last 8) = 3 ER in 51 1/3 IP (0.53 ERA)

    Filthy

From what we’ve seen of Dustin May, we definitely won the nontrade with the Pirates. The kid looks good.

Thank Trevor Bauer for training the young guys to be high-K type starters.

Still have no clue how our pen became the best in baseball. Would never have guessed that in spring training after the departures of Miller, Allen and Shaw the last 2 years.

Matz is cruising, with the lead, and Calloway says "Hey, lets pull Matz and see if I can fuck this up." One inning later, "Yes sir, still got the touch. Lets leave Lugo in so I can prove myself."

    Idiots.

    Yep. That guy.

His crazy training techniques and analysis are attributed to the success of Beiber, Clevinger and Plesac by not just those guys but the pitching staff.

Odd dude for sure but he loves to analyze pitches and throw a lot of Ks.

Still think it’s hilarious his last pitch as an Indian was over the center-field wall at Kaufman Stadium.

I just saw the score last night, now looking at the box score. He pulled him after 6 IP and Matz had thrown just 79 pitches? After letting him hit in the top of the 7th?

What a fucking tool. Only way he's the manager next year is if they make the playoffs and win the wild card game.

"everybody's got their hooks into you, fuck em....forge on motherfuckers, drag all those bitches across the goal line with you." - (not so) ill-advised strategy

Agreed. Granted Lugo is usually money her lately, but they were murdering him. So Callaway sits there with that "deer in the headlights look" scratching his ass. And now, Pete Alonso couldn't his a baseball off a tee. McNeil with a hammie injury, Calloway is out of his element.

You gotta love that Yanks DH Ford is just laughing with every dinger he’s serving up. I can respect that attitude.

19-4 Tribe, top of the 8th.

Mets win big w/ 23 hits against Atlanta last night.
Alonso goes 5/5 with a walk, and ties the rookie home run record.
    Rosario goes 5/6.
    Bullpen still sucks.
Calloway still in a trance trying to figure out what happened.
