If Seager goes to the Sox at least he can still be my sons favourite player since his mom is a sox fan and he has a sweet hat from game one of th he 2018 series.

Plus Mookie wood be down with th he "Holywood Lifestyle," some redneck Texans who signed in Anaheim couldnt handle.

    Yall ain't getting Lux

bullpen arms are pretty inconsistent. manny is a nice piece but doesn’t seem like a guy you really build a team around. they lost a lot of games so they’ll be able to draw some nice picks, but when are the dodgers supposed to start looking over their shoulder, 2023?

Remind me of the Braves, who yes are in a weaker division but only won 70ish games 2 years ago and now are wining 90 + and the division. Predicting the future is hard and the Dodgers are loaded now and for the future but Padres have soo much young talent

i don’t follow the padres closely but it’s not that hard to predict for a well run team stocking talent.

before the braves won 72 they had won 68,67, and 79.

the royals had a similar turnaround.

    and of course:

so what year will the padres supplant the dodgers?

Eh, the padres/dbacks/Rockies/maybe giants are just fighting for a wild card spot behind the dodgers. That’s been most of the last decade, don’t see that changing in the near term.

its imo hard to say if the 2017 dirt bike accident was a turning point for mad bum, but that’ll be clear soon enough.

    .
Totally, As a Dodger fan those multiple NL West pennants mean the world to me.
Wild Card spots are just consolation prizes. the Giants hated finishing second in 2014 & you can ask the Florida Marlins, 1997 and 2003; the Anaheim Angels, in 2002; the Red Sox, in 2004; the St. Louis Cardinals, in 2011; and the current World Series fucking champion Washington Nationals.

Just saying the Padres are getting themselves in the conversation for a while

Houston radio has been covering and commenting on Cole's yankee 1st presser as they are still butthurt that the best pitcher in the league went to the one team that has no financial limit.

was interesting to hear what they gave him at the intro. apparently some wine and a gold home plate. the guy just cashed in on 300 mil, he can buy that himself. get him a private plane and limo ride with jeter or some great former yankee to the presser and a personal assistant until he buys his own place, that's all you need to do; he can buy any material thing he wants.

If the Tribe trades Lindor to the Reds (which is the latest rumbling) the Reds better hand over the farm system.

    Fucking all of it.

    Hot Stove season continues:

White Sox are tossing all kinds of cash around with the signing of Dallas Keuchel last week and then Edwin Encarnacion today.

I guess the AL Central will be a 3 team race now among: the young Sox, which I previously thought were a year away; the Twins, who should slide back a bit with no pitching to speak of; and the Tribe who still have one of the best rotations in the AL and, as of today, Francisco Lindor and Jose Ramirez despite recent senseless budget cutting.

Yankees let Betances walk. Wish they would’ve kept him.

Hopefully Manfred comes down hard on these assholes. Both franchises stole titles and MVP’s. How about no draft picks in the first 5 rounds for the next 5 years. Seems fair.
