I think all satellite GPS units should have cop car icons where common speed traps are just like they have gas stations and fast food icons as available options.

Does it work in areas with terrible or zero cell tower coverage?

Me! No moving violations in my driving history. I did get a ticket for a tail lamp out, but no moving violations of any type.

Been driving for 12 years. Pulled over 4 times, ticketed all 4 times. Fortunately you can defer a ticket once every 7 years in Washington state, so only 2 of those tickets were on my record.
Also, the state trooper who gave me a $550 2 Negligent Driving ticket caused an accident less than a year later when he tried to pull a quick u-turn in traffic and chase down a buddy of mine, but failed to turn on his lights. He lied in the ensuing investigation and was suspended 6 months, so that made me feel a bit better.

I blew through a 4 way stop on Mercer Island (Big Money) right in front of a cop who was stopped at the crossing. I pulled over before he had the lights on. Let me off with a warning. Guy had a gaunt look and a 1000 mile stare and freaked me a bit. Mercer Island is where the SPD sends cops that need some rest after undercover or gang work. So I've been told.

Yep. I think it's fair. But there are very few manned radars around. Mostly cameras. Never been pulled over by a human.

18 years behind the wheel, no speeding tickets. Usually 10 over on highways, 10-20+ over on I70. Most recent pullover was for doing 18 over outside Hanksville, UT. Beehive stater gave me a warning; my wife was pissed. She wants me to learn my lesson; same with skiing too fast?

As with most, I've had a healthy dose of good luck over the years (thank you Pitkin County Sheriffs) and have only been pulled over 3 times for speeding. But [steps up to soapbox] unlike a lot of drivers I know, I'm 100% engaged, like a video game, when driving. I'm hyper alert, very good vision (and headlight recognition) and anticipate spots well [steps off soapbox].

I'm trying to back off the lead foot, but I can't stand at least not going 5 over. It's just those 20+ overs and risky flights over Independence Pass that need to chill.

They can "demand" all they want - it's free fucking speech, tough shit.

Did you hear about that jail in Brooklyn that didn't have heat all last week? They'll throw you in there, and tell you to call your lawyer about that freedom of speech shit. God help you if you're black or latin. They'll shoot you on the spot.

My last ticket I was doing 93 in a 65. In a Ferrari registered as a Porsche. In the rain.

I told him not to worry that "I was a professional"... That didn't seem to help.

    Oh Yeah!

The Westy definitely has the Im rolling through vibe and not the Im here to raise Cain vibe. That said, Ive been plenty nervous rolling through small Utah or Idaho towns in the VW.

But in Montana you have to work hard to get a speeding ticket.
I always get a chuckle on Beartooth pass when you cross into Montana and see the speed limit 70 sign. Its pretty much impossible to exceed 40 or so on most of that stretch without flying off the side of the mountain.
