You guys are way too nice.
1) Don't punch the asshole in the face for standing in your landing zone.
2) Don't push the fag off of the traverse if he/she is moving too slowly for you
3) Even if cutting you off, don't pole plant anyone skis in a lift line hard enough to damage top sheet
4) Ask fallen skiers who appear to be injured if they need assistance
5) Always offer to share your blunt with those riding a chair/gonjola with you“How does it feel to be the greatest guitarist in the world? I don’t know, go ask Rory Gallagher”. — Jimi Hendrix

My 7 year does this almost to a fault. Some snowboarder actually got insulted by him and started to yell. I usually give my kid some space to interact with others on his own, but I quickly skied up and told the guy to stop yelling at my son for trying to help someone out.
1. Be kind to the kooks, and help show them the way.
2. Ski with a group, tour them around, keep them within their ability level and push their limits (just a little).
3. Slow your roll as you approach the resort and access road. Don't be that Jerry in the meadow.
4. Ski alone, ski fast, wait for no one, and jump off shit.
5. Remember that skiing is fun. Spread the stoke.
Okay, maybe those are not etiquette rules, but more personal rules.

Give a quick lesson to the gromm in over her head on a steep run (generally because her boyfriend is a dick, and you might just get laid.)
Be friendly on the chairlift. You just might meet someone interesting or beautiful. Offer advice on where or where not to ski. Its your mountain, be an ambassador.
Carry your skis vertically up the stairs or into lift lines, not on your shoulder...spacial awareness. Kindly suggest to others to do the same (and not so kindly when they are being dicks about it.)
Let people get off the shuttle bus before charging on, and give up your seat to old ladies (and pretty young things.)
I agree it is a constitutional right for Americans to be assholes...its just too bad that so many take the opportunity...iscariot

1. Be respectful to new skiers and groms, you were once a new skier and/or grom
2. Give patrol the respect they are due, some day they might save your life
3. Poach intelligently, don’t get Joeys in trouble if they follow your tracks
4. Share chairlifts on busy days, don’t be that guy riding solo on a quad when the lift line is 15-30 min
5. Remember skiing is fun

I'm counting 49 etiquette rules so far. Fuck that, I'll just keep being nasty.

But only the first one is really important...Don't be a dick. Applies to life in general as well.

I’ll secong hutash’s statement about being an ambassador for your mountain. I’ve had a great time at new mountains when someone decided to show me around and i always try to do the same at my hill.

I agree with this, just don’t expect to be shown our secret pow stashes or favorite backcountry spots. Just because we are ambassadors for our favorite mountain, doesn’t mean you get the keys to the castle

1st, the Don't be a Dick covers the rest, all of which reads like a post from Epic (rip)
2nd. I will talk with someone on a chair and size them up before I volunteer to be an Ambassador, we have mountain hosts for that.
If they seem ok I will ski with them a bit but to be honest, when it comes to chairlifts I enjoy skiing with friends, when it comes to the Tram I prefer to ski by myself.
OTOH I blew off today to install a laminate floor in my Kitchen and I would have been glad to show any Jerry around instead.Last edited by Not bunion; 02-02-2019 at 04:51 PM.

Check down when coming to a Slow sign, even if it means a little further walk to the lodge or skating/poling on the flat.
Slow down in family ski areas.

Pump up the little rippers
Appreciate the send especially if you're on the lift
Try not to brag about all your money and yachts and properties in the lift line.... There are people listening the that ski fuck and fight better than you and they could give a shit less about your first world problems.
Let the lifties know theyre the shit and flirt with the female ones even if they are ugly.
