    This.

I often try to help people stay out of danger. They often don’t listen. Too cool to take advice but not too cool to be cliffed out and hiking back up hill.

QFMFT. God dammit this annoys me so much. Yeah I ski with my dog too, and put her poo bags in a plastic bag in my pack. Yeah it sucks, and it sucks to forget and then the next day discover a rank bag of dog shit in your house. But we live in a goddamn society, pick up your dog's shit.

I tour early a lot (like < 5am), first and only car in the parking lot, and on many occasions I'll be heading up the skinner and seeing these dog shit bags alongside, when it's damn well obvious that nobody else is coming back for them. I'm tired of carrying your dog's shit bag to the trailhead trashcan!!!

Don't leave your trash in the tram line. If you can carry a full beer or full cup of coffee in the line you can carry an empty one to the trash.

    Ikonfags I'm talking to you.

    - Don't park in the beginner lot if you don't have kids with you.
    - If you buy a ski pass, buy snow tires.
    - If you buy a car with AWD/4WD, buy snow tires.
    - When the local regulatory bodies require (a) AWD/4WD and snow tires OR (b) chains to get to the hill, if you have only (b), stay home.

Yes, bag it and pack it out. It's TRUE that wild animals poop in the woods but there are fewer of them and their poop isn't concentrated along trails. Its basic public health and consideration.

This drives me absolutely fucking crazy while hiking.

Honestly, what is the god damn point of putting it in a plastic bag and LEAVING IT there? Now we have dog shit protected by a piece of plastic that will never degrade!!! Jesus.

Honestly, if you aren't going to pack it out, just flick it into the woods where it will have way less impact on the environment. I realize that is not ideal and packing it out is best, but for fuck's sake...I can get over someone tossing dog poop into the woods where it will degrade....but why ADD A PLASTIC BAG to the situation?

Don't get bent out of shape when you're sitting in a smoke chalet and someone breaks out some smoke. It's not like we're shooting up or huffing paint.

God dan, this thread is really raising my blood pressure. This also drives me up the wall.

What? You can handle having a full can of beer (or water, or water) in your pocket because your going to consume it, but an empty can that weighs like nothing, and in fact can be crushed to a very small size...THAT you can't be bothered to put in your pocket? What? that empty coffee cup gonna throw off your balance while you're skiing? You fuckign douche....

Absolutely drives me nuts. IT's obvious this shit got onto he mountain or trail somehow - use the same method to get it the fuck back out!

Don't enter the singles line with your buds and wait for a chair with enough open spots for your group.

The herbs were doing this today on the six pack.

Don't sit on your poles on the chair if you cant pull them out without stabbing the guy next to you.

Don’t leave your skis base down right in front of lift exit near lodge

Don’t gather your 20 person crew for next run discussions right in front of the lift line entrance

Don’t stand at the top of a pow field and not expect to have your line poached
I need to go to Utah.
    Utah?
Yeah, Utah. It's wedged in between Wyoming and Nevada. You've seen pictures of it, right?

So after 15 years we finally made it to Utah.....

this, and the fact wild animals consume food that is located in the wild, i.e. not bringing foreign material to natural areas

    Bring an extra cigar
Ride lifts with younger people, you might learn something
    Bring another extra cigar
    Bring a backup lighter
Watch for lift line worriers, smile at them and speak gently to ease their worry day

If you've brought enough to share with the whole lift line, is that different?
