    Ski Bluewood!

Thought I'd start a placeholder thread for Bluewood happenings (someone's got to represent!)

Ski Bluewood is a great little area nestled in the Blue Mountains of Southeastern Washington! Second highest base elevation in the state. If you ever find yourself down this way stop for a run or two.

    VINTNER'S SNO-CAT RUNS TOMORROW (Sun., 1/27)*
Starting around 11a, you can take the Sno-Cat to Vintner's Ridge to ride more than 200 acres of ungroomed side-country terrain. This expert area, also called "the other side" of Bluewood, is an amazing off-piste experience! Ask at the window when you arrive. #syotm

When the snow pack is fat and conditions are right touring doesn't suck here either.

That's in the basin off vintner's, or keep going north into next one? My friends that live back home say there is some promising quick laps in that area.

I believe I saw an old-timer in snowed in RV in the parking lot on the opening day last year when I was visiting home in Dec '16 or '17

I called them last year and they said no problem. Hope to make it out there at some point this winter.

How's the other little hill on the south side near there, Spout Springs? Will they still kick you off the "hill" if you go up to hike their terrain?

You're not Bluewood's target market. Peak Media really doesn't have much to say about that, just shoot and edit what the client wants.

Heard SS was for sale for a rediculous amount. OT another fun hill nearby is Anthony Lakes. $17.00 Thursdays.

It's actually the ridge east of the road before you turn in to the area. Access via snowpark to the middle tie trail and up. We hit the northish facing bowls off the top. Opposite ridges in the background hold a few shorter drops.

Brynlee Leitner is 2-1/2 years old. This was her first day on skis and her second attempt. (Turn audio up to hear the cutest laughs ever!) Her dad, Steve, says they rode the Easy Rider lifts the rest of the day and had a blast. Awww, the sweetness!

Rolled in to bluewood at the crack of 11. Skied bottomless untracked pow the rest of the day.

Mark your calendar for the Bluewood Annual Spring Happening -- BASH -- on Sat. & Sun., March 30 & 31! This year we're thinking SPRING, so feel free to dress up in sunny-day wear--from shades and shorts to tropical shirts and--of course, sunscreen!

The ever-popular pond skim happens Saturday, along with a beer garden and live music by The FrogHollow Band. Sunday will bring family-friendly games and activities, such as scavenger hunts, body bowling, and snow-thing building contests. BBQ on the deck too!

Both days include some sweet swag from sponsors, and limited BASH t-shirt giveaways--only 500 total, and it's first come, first served. When they're gone, they're gone!

Save the date and bring a group. It'll be a fun weekend of skiing/snowboarding, friends, music, sun (hopefully)...and, of course, good times!
