Roos, tad windy doesn’t do it justice. I like a bit on the breezy side! Thanks again.

Another trip in the books! Some highlights, a bonefish on a cuda fly, I was screwing around trying to hook a cuda while waiting on the tides and a bonefish swam by so I threw to him and I will be dammed if he didnt eat it!
Spent my first significant time on the pole (insert your mom spent time on a pole joke here).
We saw more permit than I have ever seen on this trip. Between the bones and permit my hope is that the waters are getting healthier.
The highlight is always the tarpon, crazy trip this year, I had at least 9 eats, count them 9! and couldn't get one damn fish to the boat!

I had a day in Cheeseman Canyon at 65 CFS where I had 10 fish on and lost them all.
I hope you’ll be OK, I still think about it, and those things weren’t tarpon.

Nice work! Yes the first trout on dry fly marked the beginning of my anti-social downward spiral. This is one of my buddy's first bank sippers and he is on the path

Took the 7yo on a four day trip to Starvation again, bought him his first big boy rod. Last time we were out there he lost something big due to the lack of drag on the spiderman pole.

    He was pumped.

SFB came out with his boat and left it for me for the nights I stayed later than everyone else. Went out Sunday evening and the 7yo scored, hooked and reeled it in all by himself.

Hit the opener on a formerly little known section of water. First time in 5 years of fishing it the weather was cloudy. The bugs were insane. The high snow year busted out all the old beaver dams and the river flows naturally the whole way now, providing some healthy ass fish. Was lights out until it started raining, stopped counting after 7 fish in 2 hours on mostly big dries.

In the last 10 years I can recall breaking a grand total of 3 rods. This year I have broken 5 god damn rods and the year is only half over.

Just giving you some shit. (I have broke a rod by wacking it with a surf perch fly that had dumbbell eyes.). That ended up not being the worst thing in the world since it was a Loomis, so I did their trade-in and got my Crosscurrent 6 as a replacement.

That is the reason I bought 2 of those Eagle Claws for my wife and I as we fish creeks that are more like rock scrambles. It coulda been a $500 Sage or whatever.

I knew that! Sage has to be wondering what the hell I am doing out here! Maybe I need to invest in a couple Eagle Claws!

Yeah, like the dumbass move I made on the Blackfoot. Lost the tip section of my 5-wt Sage.

Telee: are the Sage warranty people easy to work with ? Obviously I will have to pay for the new section as it was my fault.
