WTB: Silverton Beater Skis...
I posted another WTB for some Line Opus skis, but not much traffic on it, so thought I'd throw this up.
I'm looking for a pair of fat skis-with some type of platform binding that will work with my A.T. boots.
Ski waist width around 116 or so, something turny, but can hold an edge too- not a big mountain comp ski.
Length-wise, something around a 185.
Cheap is best (sub $300), so kind of a beater ski rig- I'll only be on these a handful of days per season.
Skis I'm looking at:
Line Opus
Liberty Double Helix
K2 Pontoons or Hellbents
Armada JJs
Bent Cheaters
Atomic Auto 117s
Others...?
Bindings- Need to be a small/medium for a 306mm boot- preferably some old Dukes or Barons, or Marker F12s....
Lemme know if you've got an old pair of fatties laying around you want to sell off.Last edited by bovine; 01-18-2019 at 10:43 PM.

188 Rossignol Super 7s, 2013 year mounted with small duke EPF. They have some pretty big core shots but edges are still in tact. 117mm under foot.

Still looking... I'd prefer a lighter 2 piece AT compatible binding to something like a duke.
I'm kinda being picky, but unguided season at Silverton doesn't start till March 20th, so I've got some time....
I want something fat, but something that'll also work skiing wind-chalked chokes leading into steep zones w/pow below...-so, something that'll hold an edge.

Bump- narrowing down my top pics to:
Atomic Automatic 117s-- 186ish size
Armada JJs
ON3P Billygoats
Prefer skis to have some kind of burly AT compatible binding-preferably, a two piece design. I don't need a binding that'll enable me to tour. My boots are Scarpa Maestrale RS.
