the year was 1992. Sadly MIke Ivers died in June of that year. He was flying back from the Alsek after checking on some rafters. Gulf Air had a log in their office that was a great history of climbing in that area. After Kurt died someone else bought Gulf Air. I was never able to find out what happened to that log. A good place for it would be the AAC Library in Golden. Do the Ivers still have the log? Alka I though you were flying with Claus. Were you having him pick you up in Yakutat?
I’m trying to find that log too. I have some leads but it’s gonna be hard to track down.

Claus wasn’t Mountain flying this spring. Had his Otter down for FAA air worthiness upgrades and is pulling back on flying climbers in general. Part of our challenge getting on the mountain has been the retirements and general aging out of the OG bush pilot generation with little replacement from younger generations. It’s a dangerous ass job and it’s only getting more challenging with costs for them so if you don’t absolutely love it, there is little reason to fly climbers onto remote mountains these days.

Cody just released this trailer and it looks really good.

"Two professional skiers, two new mothers, one sponsorship. A quirky documentary style film capturing the highs and lows of two women determined to succeed with side-splitting, hilarious moments.

Starring: Elyse Saugstad, Jackie Paaso, Cody Townsend, Reine Barkered, Leanne Pelosi, Indiana Townsend & Tor Paaso.

A film written, directed, filmed and edited by: Adam Gendle, John Verity & Hersha Patel"

It was released on Aqua's YouTube feed which makes it appropriate for this thread IMO. No one said it wasn't their work.

Yeah. Not trying to imply anything other than that. Just saw he posted it and was involved.

Wrong thread. But that trailer and the title are awesome.
It should have its own thread.
When thing one was born. Wife and I tried to figure out how to still ski 30+ days. We made it happen.

PS. Those gals are milfy as hell. And way better skiers than me.

I definitely am happy to have my own milf. And one that rips and makes funny ski movies. I am biased of course, but this movie is really good. I think it's going to stand out for parents as much as non-parents as it's pretty damn stand-alone funny. I hope it crushes.

Can't wait to watch with my MILF. She showed me the trailer last night. Good stuff.

Any details on how/when this is getting released? In time for annual family-rager wax party late Oct? Or is it going on tour?

As of right now, it will be showing at a few film festivals like High Fives, IF3 and has been submitted for a bunch of other festivals like Banff, Mountain Film, etc... But for online release, most likely coming out in November on a widely dispersed streaming platform. Still working on those details but will hopefully have an announcement soon.

Really fine work fellas! Both on the line and the film. You captured the stress and doubt so well.

    Pretty slick.

But thank you no Thanks on that line. A lot of these hardcore lines in the alps are mainly tick boxing rappel stuff like this in Bad snow. Not my cup of tea.

That was intense. Great episode / film and worth the longer running time.
