Was not aware that Alex Honnold can ski - look forward to footage of him surviving down 300 vertical feet of low angle breakable crust (with Bjarne casually making fun of him on voice over) and then saying this was much scarier than soloing El Cap

There's some great footage of Honnold trying to ski in the North Face Queen maud land expedition video a few years ago.

Wonder what line they brought him on. I'm guessing Bloody since its in CA and one of the more casual options left on the list.

Doesn't putting out a teaser make it a commercial operation?

Interesting, seems a particularly dismal year to ski Whitney, what with the bare bones coverage. But bringing Honnold along certainly spices it up. Did he run up and down the East buttress and East face routes while Alka toiled away in the cooly? hah

That was my thinking - climb East Butt, descend Mountaineers. Now that is CLASSIC.

This. We also added a second layer of spice to make it even more interesting. It's part of my never ending quest to make the fifty harder than it needs to be.

Skree skiing it in verglass in approach shoes with crappy twilight vision after a quick romp up the east butt was spicy from experience.

GoPros make everything look easy. 40-50 degree slopes look like a mellow walk in the woods.

Love that van tour! Great setup. Only wish Promaster had 4x4 and deisel. The modular is nice feature. I wonder what Cody's real MPG is for hwy/city and climbs to elevation trips?

I have a similar van with a camper build and average around 15-16, pretty consistently. I dont really notice much of difference between 2x and extended times in 4x. I think his is a little lighter so probably better my assumption is about 18-19.
