Big sky and Bridger Bowl
Headed to BS in February for 5 days. Is it worth spending a day at Bridger? Never been either place.

Just so you know, you need a transponder to ride one of Bridger's lifts. So, dont be that guy loudly abusing the poor person at the ticket window after you find that out the hard way.

Bridger Bowl is as legit as they come. I highly suggest skiing with someone who knows the mountain. Easy to get yourself into trouble there if you don't know where you're going. Bring your beacon for lift access. Awesome mountain.

OK, so I'm checking myself. Poke fun, make jokes, have and opinion but you don't need to be an asshole all the time. The world needs those people but I'm trying to pass the torch.
Here you go buddy https://www.tetongravity.com/forums/...-Whatev-Thread Super thread for that part of the world. Have fun. Bridger is on the short list of ski areas I want to ski but haven't.

We did Big Sky one year and did one day at Bridger. I dug it. I think it's worth checking out.

Bridger is great. Not having a beacon is limiting. If you hike the ridge, be careful where you go - there's some sporty shit in there. If it's a pow day, the lift lines can get fairly ridiculous.

Def worth a day. You’ll need transportation to get there and beacons to get to the good terrain. If you like hiking you’ll be rewarded.

Remember the two are separated by an hour plus drive, so plan accordingly.

Weird, there's a pic of me in the griz...haha.
I'm a dick and usually driving but pretty sure you could figure out the shuttle from big sky to Bozeman and make it to fairgrounds for bridger shuttle.
And yes having a beacon(or studfinder...) makes things way more fun.

Bridger is the real deal. Bring a transceiver/shovel and try to hook up with some locals to find your way around the Ridge hikes and Schlasman's lift. There is a guide book called "Stepping Up" which will describe the terrain, but reading about it and actually finding your way around there are different things. Check out the daily videos put out by the Bridger staff to check conditions and stoke... they're great! I have had some of the best days of my life skiing there. Wife has too. Definitely ski the Cold Smoke if you have the chance.

I’ve a bunch of ridiculous days at Bridger. Great area. Bring a beacon, prepare to hike.
The high traverse has some excellent terrain off the nose if the ridge is closed.
