A competitive women’s final, so far. Andreescu up a break 4-2 in the first.

Tired of seeing Serena roll to wins in an hour.

She has the same fortitude as SW. So rare in the women’s game. That will to win.

Back on serve. Serena is in her head now. Match point to letting two service breaks.

Definitely don't underestimate Serena, but there is definitely a new crop of younger athletes on the rise.

Wait, what.. there was a match on today...

hahaha YES! First slam for a Canuck. What a great win Bianca! Serena was not playing that shitty (except for first serve percentage).

Gary, fyi, due to enormous pressure from Disco Stu: For the record, I watched three minutes of the match...for Canada, I tried...I tried, for Canada.

You tell Disco Stu that GM is gunning for him and all the Terracites. The serve and volley is coming back to town.
ps 3 minutes is a record no?
    See you soon buddy.

Jumping on the manvedev bandwagon big-time. Dude is all business and is quietly dismantling Nadal in his prime

I just got home and turned it on mid game 1 of the 5th. Looks like Nadal's regained the momentum.

    This is fun.

I still feel robbed of a Fed-Nadal Final however.

    Big time.

But it's hard to be mad about a 5 set final match.

    That was pretty awesome.

I’ve said it a hundred times, I remember watching from the front row Rafa call to get his legs and ankles taped at every changeover at the Cincinnati Masters over 10 years ago thinking, “no way this guy’s legs let him fulfill his promise of an all-time career”.

Well, here we are again. Absolutely amazing. Just gritty to get to this point in his career.

Hats off to Daniil, one hell of a hardcourt season. Lots of big tennis ahead for this guy I think.

Ugh, so bummed I missed the last set!!! Women's final was fun to watch, Andresscu is top shelf for her age.

Serena gave up on some balls she thought were going to be called out that dropped in as good. Like she wasn't adjusting to the amount of top spin Andresscu was hitting. On the men's side, Nadal never quit until the call was made even when he thought the ball looked out to him. Expert opinions will likely vary but that's what I saw watching the women's final and men's final. Granted, I didn't watch ALL of either.

Yeah man, thanks. Just tuning into Davis Cup right now. Shapo having some trouble with Nadal.. (no doubt, who doesn't).

Pretty happy we're in the final though. Canadian tennis as strong as it's ever been right now.
