Didnít head that way bc I didnít want to risk it not being open and then having climb up.

Mad River Riders posted last week on IG they were looking to finish it soon so Iím sure theyíll post something when itís open.

I friggin love it, nothing like blasting some tunes on the ups, or those long stretches of open dirt. My father and I linked mostly dirt roads from Derby to Hill Farmstead. Pulled into the lot, grabbed beers, and we had a mini party, turned a few people on to the handlebar mount speaker.

We got .4 done this weekend to the local ride. Pretty stoked. Milwaukee chainsaw was key to get it done. Thing is so sweet!

We're building and a guy is on a trail one over with a radio blaring...talk radio. Was odd. He was on a pretty decent steep climb...didn't make it. He needed van halen or the likes eh

    VT-f got his wires crossed.

Shakedown cruise on the Sutra LTD tonight. Just shy of 25 miles. 50/50 dirt and broken asphalt. The 45c tires are so much faster when the going gets rough. Way more stable as well. I actually think I was faster on this route than on the road bike.

    Wind was a bitch though.

Cady has been mostly open since early May, except for Florence. I rode it 10 or so days ago and it rode great except for a few soft spots. Forecast looks spotty between now and Friday but as long as there is no heavy rain, you should be okay for Friday AM.

Do they actually close it like with a rope, as in, if I show up there having never been there before will it be clearly indicated that itís not rideable?

If that becomes the case, any suggestions for a better place to go post wet weather in the Burlington/Stowe area for a 2-3hr ride?

    Thanks!

Trailforks will indicate what trails are open, closed or on "caution." They usually will rope off closed trails but not always.

Adam's Camp and Trapp are right next door and you can put together a nice long ride connecting those two areas.

There's tons of other riding between Burlington and Stowe. Check out Cochran's, Hinesburg/Sleepy hollow, or you can drive down to Waitsfield and put in some long rides starting behind American Flatbread..

Nice. I managed to get out there Saturday. The new trail (Phased and Confused on Strava) is some awesome XC. 5 miles of uninterrupted singletrack... It doesn't sound like much but it's rare (for me) to find such a long single trail. Looking at it on the map it's huge. Very cool. Major kudos to the builder(s) who put that together.

Any mags around Boston riding Sat am? Up for about 2-3 hr mtb or gravel ride if anyone is available. Coming from VT and can supply post-ride refreshments.

Definitely a cool trail. I found some time last summer to put a little time into the rock section near the end but that was a major effort by a few different guys.

pm me sometime your looking to ride again!

If you're near Plattsburgh and need to ride check out the Ausable Chasm trails. Super twisty and turny but with next to no vertical gain or loss anywhere, 15-20 feet maybe. Mixed in with the velvety smooth stuff are some tough little tech moves to keep it interesting and one trail that had crazy exposure to a fall straight down into one of the areas chasms. It's sort of a pay to play place but only because you're supposed to have a parking permit, doesn't matter when the campground office is closed and you can't get one so just leave a note on the dashboard that the office was closed.

Split the rain uprights down here in the flatlands, only a light sprinkle. Trails are finally dry and riding well here in central CT.
