I ended up with 4" of frozen crap. Hopefully it doesn't glaciate with slightly above freezing temps during the day and 20's at night. Low sun angle and intense density might make this the base for the year if it doesn't warm up more. Either way it should make for decent riding. Gonna confirm soon It looks like most of the CT coast ended up similar to me so that's where the dryish riding is gonna be.

I heard a rumor about this, interesting to see these nation wide bike events sneak their way into VT. I wish they had a single day demo ticket - I don't think I can convince the wife to let me disappear to get drunk and ride bikes for 3 days.

We've had several large groups hammering out our trails with snowshoes, splitboards, skis, everything. We are looking prime for some great fatty riding this weekend with temps staying chilly.

Quick loop after school today, thankfully the sleds did all the hard work. Traction was legendary today.

Sonuva... I just got new brakes for my fatty today, the pistons in the old one disintegrated. I'll have it rolling again next week.

Hope there is snow left after this torchy rain coming tomorrow...some of the best fat biking conditions I've ridden.

Damn, we'll be back to frozen dirt after more hot rain this weekend.

Might as well take advantage and break out the lights tonight. Hoping for firm snow and minimal ice.

Total rollercoaster here too. We're going to need a hardcore cold shot to get things nicely rideable again. Went from 2" of rain a few days ago capped by 2" of frozen stuff that just melted with another inch and a half in 2 days of 55* rain and now that mud is covered by 4" of wet snow that's gonna get melted away again... This is gonna be never ending mud

Back to mostly frozen dirt and leaves here. Got the studs on before the thaw which is good given the occasional patch of ice under a micro dusting of snow.

I have been taking advantage of the lack of snow for some trail work. Rode a new section for the first time today...

About 50/50 dirt and firm snow around here. Got out the last 2 days and had a blast. Didn’t think I’d ride dirt again until May.

Yeah, we have a mixed bag dependent upon aspect.

Happy to get out and finalize roughing in the last eighth mile of new trail today.

I was just about to post that same article. That's going to make NEMBAFest difficult at best.

That’s a dagger in the heart of kt. I wonder how they plan to police it, there are too many fun trails there to ever prevent poaching.

Burrington’s have a trail named for them. Man, what a bummer. Love Darling Hill.

The impact of this landowner development is significant, the Burrington's are pulling close to 500 acres from the network in total from both sides of Darling Hill Rd. Pretty sure Pines, Ridge, Rim, Riverwood and that whole zone is on their land.
