I'll keep an eye out for dates.

Checked out Green Woodlands in NH yesterday, pretty fun pumptrack through the woods

19 NE - It's all up from here

I’m up for a riding weekend, dates pending.

Worked this weekend, but brought the bike and figured I could sneak out for a ride at the end of the day. Played connect the dots with a loop around Lincoln and Waltham, hit the trails less than a mile from work. Always love finding new spots. Lots of things irritate me about Boston, but the mellow singletrack can’t be beat. Click image for larger version.

If you ride here...we just added some more climbing to mix. Take George's out to a little loop on Paine's nearest sister peak, then rip back out. Should add a fun 1/2 hour to the Nrhtfld Lap.

Looking like September is the best for me to do a weekend at Ascutney. How does Sept 7 & 8 look to folks? That's the weekend after Labor Day? Nothing is listed on the Ascutney Outdoor Center or STAB websites for that time.

It’s incredible how quickly trails and brooks have dried up.

It was great to see official mountain bike blazes on trees in the Manchester District of the GMNF.

Sounds good. What does an MTB blaze look like? It’s not just some yellow paint on a tree?

Would like to do the Pizza this year, because windmills! And of course PIZZA!!!!

Muggy fuck shit on the way. Took the day off to do some stuff around the house and ride in the last of the cool weather for a while. Should have ridden first as it rained in Granville south. At least it was cooling.

I should have snapped a pic. They are like the Catamount Trail signs, but white, with what appears to be a skeleton wearing a football helmet riding a bike.

Came into a shale chute a bit too hot at Platty last weekend, got some fat fingers and nice bump on my hand. No broken bones but getting to a Dr to see what's going on.

Stay cool out there, next few days look hot as hell!

I remember racing DH at Spat n’ Kill back in college and always leaving with some sort of injury. That place is an old school chunk fest.

    Heal up quick.

Dumbass!! JK, heal fast ya punk. Does anyone race Platty and come out unscathed? I’ve met 2 (!) people over the years who got helivac’ed (!!) out of there on race day. Oy!

    Added in bold above

So that almost inch of rain the last two days did nothing to soften things up. At the end of the day today it's just about back to hardpan. Fkn weird after such an incredibly wet spring how quickly it dried out.

Despite the forecast of today being muggy and gross, it was another stellar day. Brought a buddy to Bradbury for his 40th then to engage in some local drinking at Goodfire. I hadn’t ridden Bradbury in two years and it’s amazing how little it has changed. Places like Falmouth, Gorham, and Yarmouth have all expanded exponentially over the same period of time.

    Tomorrow doesn’t look as promising.

4 hour grind in the heat of the day yesterday. Suffering is the greatest gift of Mountain Biking. The new route out to the tower is still a ball-buster. Paine delivers.

Rode Mt. Peg in Woodstock today and boy, the trails didn’t disappoint.

The approach to this is off a cool rock roller. It’s innocuous enough but the descent is steep.

Had a great dawn ride at Millstone this morning. Been a hell of a summer for riding bikes.

Rooted ride is only 10 days away, just hoping all this riding is enough prep so I don’t die.

PSA- there is a ton of broken glass on at least a mile-long stretch of one of the main loops at Breakheart Reservation in Saugus MA. This is the singletrack loop that parallels the Ridge hiking trail with red blazes.

It was such a nice day to ride, perfect weather and conditions
