Well then, thank you in particular for the effort!
I'm actually out in Eastern MA, but when I make it back home (grew up in the area) I like to ride there or the notch. I'll def shoot you a PM next time I'm in town.
If you're ever in the Metro North area looking for a guide, I know some great spots. Feel free to hit me up.

A little spam as I'm selling my road bike and the gear swap doesn't always get a lot of traffic for wheels. Felt F75 for sale

The Ranger. Do it. Greaat Sunday am. An unexpected pave section added to the short loop reminded me not to eat and drink so much during shoulder-mud-spring. Super fun ride and even more fun scene. Also the Suicide6 VYC fest, youth mtb is alive and well in VT. And that mtb Youtube star Phil something or other is an believably nice guy and an absurdly talented rider. Kids were lined up all day to ride with him and/or get a selfie and he was awesome. Bikes!!!

Mrs P and I did a <>25 miler this morning. She wouldn’t take the West River Trail on her Roubaix but couples rides are still fun.

^pics are not showing up for me.
I've been using this Repel eucalyptus bug dope and it works really well for me. I smell like a french whore house, but I don't care

We are still wet in the typical early spring spots and unfortunately looking at another .5" tomorrow. I ready for this cycle to end.
Helped finish another .4 yesterday although I'm not too psyched about the line. Kinda janky. I see reroutes coming.

Hmm, dunno if my google account permissions on sharing photos changed recently, should be fixed now.
And that's the exact same bug spray I've got, really does work well but there's a point where nothing is strong enough to fight off backwoods bugs.

I had never ridden on the cape before last year and took the cross bike there this weekend, exploring stuff around Eastham and Wellfleet. Hot damn, I had no idea there was such good riding in the area. Not another soul seen in the woods all weekend.

You obviously weren't paying attention to Rog all those years. He tried to tell us a couple of times a year how good it is.
I use a home brewed cocktail of tea tree, cedarwood, lavender and eucalyptus. Each of these repels a different class of bugs so it's like a one shot wonderdrug.

I’ll be riding Sugarloaf for the first time this weekend in close to 15 years...any must hit trails or routes? Pumped to finally make it up to CV.

You won’t be disappointed.
Stop in at all speed and talk to Ian. He’s rad and knows the place inside and out. Cinderella (trail 105 I think) is a little tech that parallels the road on the climb up to 126. I usually ride up Jabba the Hut ( trail 110) but most of it is still closed. 105 connects to the main double track. Climb this to 126. Follow 126 climbing to 127. 127 to 128 and 129 where you get a great view at the top.
Take 129 -> 128 (there’s a rad as shit but tech way down 128 which can be avoided. Clearly marked). Make sure you hit 110 by the warming hut (small piece of Jabba). Return via 106 (not as defined as 105 but fun if you’re into more natural and challenging). Opt for the road if not.
Most of the single track around the pond was off limits this past weekend due to swamp. Check on Saturday. It should dry out a bit.
Cross the road and do all the stuff that runs along the narrow gauge (starting from Campbell field bridge and working right on a map).
Make sure you do the Newton’s revenge climb to Stratton Brook hut and descend via Oak Knoll
That whole thing will be + or - 25 miles with maybe 3k of elevation. I hear the Bear Trail is amazing (from the top of Stratton Brook) but I haven’t ridden it yet.

Has anyone ever ridden the VSECU Point to Point out of Brownsville? I'm thinking of grinding it this weekend with the missus, but want to make sure the Ascutney Notch section isn't too gnarly for her. She will be on her modified road bike with 32mm semi-slicks. It looks like it's less than 3/4 of a mile so we could HAB it if necessary.
