We rode the Mill Brook trails. They start right across the street from my friend's driveway so post ride beverages are plenty cold!

Damn... I caught a branch yesterday and it went through my rear wheel and tore out 14 spokes. That was a long walk out

We’ve gone from downpours and mud pits to hot and dusty within a week. My bud’s backyard trails (on his Uncle Sam’s land) were buffed and prime today.

We ran a time trial so we can handicap each rider to know when they are at their potential. Our group ranges in age from sub 30 year olds to a 64 year old. Not surprisingly it’s the grandpa that wanted the TT.

That’s okay, he bought the .

Any of you Mainers have a big (50+ miles) gravel/mixed surface route around Augusta? I'm over that way visiting in laws next weekend and would like to get in a big ride to prep for Rooted VT. Strava link would be awesome.

Even some info on a good network of dirt roads to explore would be helpful.

19 NE - It's all up from here

Thoughts on a EC Mag meet up this summer or Fall to spin our wheels together? Last time at Ascutney worked pretty well.

I’m thinking a weekend this time around. We can grind some gravel on day 1 - https://ridewithgps.com/routes/29144517

Then on Sunday we can MTB the Town Forest trails - https://www.trailforks.com/poi/6195/

So far the best accommodations I can come up with for all of us is to set up camp in biggins back yard.

Weekend TBD but sometime between now and Columbus Day.

    Who’s in?

I could be down w the MTB day depending on the date now that I am only ~1:15 from suggested location. With two young kids tho I am forced to be a planning spaz so I will pay attention and throw my hat in the ring if the date works.

LOL. I was going up a steep rock and standing on it with the front wheel almost off the ground and kicked a branch in right at the top of the stroke and couldn't stop. It sounded like heavy duty velcro getting torn open. E-bike torque sensor FTW 🙃

Sort of old news in MTB circles but it is finally making the mainstream state news:

Act 250 closes down bike trails in Victory:

Between my sweaty thumbs and humidity F’ing up the lens, here’s the best I could do from tonight’s ride.

Finishing up at Honey Pie for burgers and shakes made up for it.

Any mags have some beta on the Boston lot trails? I’ll be down that way in two weeks and have the morning to ride. Much appreciated.

Was there once last year, part near Parkin great the hospital was more tech and I think the other side is newer/more flow. Interesting for a trip.

I've heard great things. Check with Mason Racing Cycles in Lebanon NH for details. Buttah might know more too.

Ya know when 3" tires don't slow you down? When they're on an e-mtb I killed this wheel last Monday so swapped to some 51mm carbon wheels with 3" meats and the bike has been transformed.Click image for larger version.

I'm not sure how I feel about it being night riding season already but with the temps and humidity down here lately it's been the only way to get out comfortably and with the potential for 5-7 days over 100 and all of them over 90 in the next 2 weeks it's time to make sure the lights are always charged and ready to go.
