not really into Marvel comics but red box has squat that I haven't seen and always up for a tech cgi sci fi stoner movie.

It was terrible. Even the DC superhero movies look Oscar-worthy in comparison to this turd.

Don't waste your time. Just watch Avengers Infinity War again instead - it's streaming on Netflix now.

I'm with Chup on this one.
Venom was one of the worst films I saw in 2018 other than The Predator (they are pretty close in terms of turdness).

I saw it on a trans-Atlantic flight a couple weeks ago. I was entertained. But maybe that’s because I was in an airplane?

thanks for that. Prolly trade up tomorrow with MI Fallout. I'm in for.52 on Venom, worth a shot. Superstar status on Red box, pretty lame, I know.

Overall it wasn't great but it had a couple of funny scenes and a coupla decent action/fight scenes. I wouldn't pay for it again.

I watched it on a plane. There wasn’t a very good selection of movies, and it was that or The Predator. It was fair.
CGI was pretty good. Hardy and the bad guy were ok. Henchman was terrible.
Some scenes were ok, some were awful. It’s like the second unit director was not good. I missed the last 10 minutes, but I’m not going to bother with it unless I’m on another flight with poor movie choices.

Man, you're just renting all the duds, eh (EQ2 was pretty super-meh...the ending was 'orrible and the "bad guy" was so obvious from the moment they came on screen it was excruciating to watch when the reveal came).

Assassination Nation? LOVED IT.

(but it ain't gonna be for everybody...really aimed at pop culture fiends and genre nerds, especially those with an affinity for Japanese bad girl flix and Dario Argento (specifically Tenebre), not to mention the Purge films and things like Heathers and Jawbreaker...
