IN additio to all the amazing talent that came out of there and the legends that came to record
Patterson Hood of Drive By Truckers dad was in the band
Jason Isbell had his first job in the Studio as did a few members of Alabama Shakes.

Colbert is great but nobody can replace Dave, the king of latenight
Kickin at the tube, watchin' none better than
You know the king of late night, Yeah Dave Letterman
Not too hilarious, jokes kinda plain
But everything is funny when you're smoking Mary Jane.....

While we're on the subject of soundtracks, invincible was on last night. Christ that movie has some tunes in it.
"And I carry it with me
and I sing it loud
If it gets me nowhere,
I'll go there proud""Can't you see..."

Yeah but especially the Music. Didnt give a fuck about popularity, just what he liked, or what Paul turned him on to.
Jazz, Americana, didnt matter. Not much top 40.
This article points out the debt Ryan Adams, Isbell, even Steve Earle and more have to the man

that's what we do here. Gonna watch it manyana. it's waiting at the lie berry.
I've heard that Dave's fave band was foo fighters. good call. Dave's into car racing. sponsors a team. when a regular guy winds up with oodles of dough, squander it wisely. His new show is great . the epic beard. Dave could be a maggot
love this
and check my buds from tigerman whoa chillin with dave
