    north fjordland tour

Biked for 9 days this past summer in Iceland

    This shit is on fire!

    Stop looking at me swan...

Only took 20 km to get 1 km away - note the two cyclist first we had run into in 4 days

    Rest break

    Another rest

Managed 5 hot springs over 70 km in a day - new record of number of hot springs visited in a day (previously 3 - running)

Blowing 35-40 kts, gusts to 60

    Found a world cup flag

Looks like you had pretty good weather... or did you just not take pictures when you were getting dumped on?

And did you actually ride down to the Snaefellsnes Peninsula past Budirkirkja, or was that just a random picture from the trip? That's one of my favorite places on earth.

Drove the Sneafellsnes Penn - looked fun, but was chauffeuring my in-laws. Took the ferry from Stykkisholmur to Brjanslaekur then biked ~450 km to Holmavik.

Bused to Reykjavik then cycled to Keflavik in a day via Grindavik ~ 90km. Mostly decent weather, a few days with rain/sleet blowing at 30-40 km/h and a bit of 60-70 km/h gusts - fun stuff.

Bombed a 5km downhill - came close to track stand at the bottom when I got the brunt of the wind head-on. Had to hike when it was a crosswind, otherwise would just get blown into the ditch.

Clemente xplor 50 - stock on 2018 kona sutra ltds, except I put a 27.5 w/ resolute 42 on the rear of one bike so that the saddle bag had clearance.
