Most likely no.

The only thing I don't recommend is sizing down with touring skis. A lot of folks like to do this to save a little weight and to make kick turns easier.

When you're touring you have a backpack on and a higher center of gravity so running a smaller ski is bad idea in my opinion.

If you want to save some weight on the tour take a crap before, this will give you more weight saving than a smaller ski. If kick turns are hard then you should probably start stretching.

I like touring but I am there for the downhill, not the up.

I absolutely loved skiing the regular Countach last season - super versatile, powerful, but still chill and with a nice landing platform. Wild combo of traits. Running Duke PTs and they are an incredible everyday pow, steeps and drops, work, travel, and side country ski. They’re even fun as hell on groomers and firm offpiste like wintry chalk and windboard. I’ll get a lot of use out them. Thanks for the killer sticks.

A Countach Tour 110 sounds pretty sweet but I prefer my pow touring skis on the fat side (132). I’d love to try the Countach shape in a touring layup but a bit narrower. Like…104. Based on Sargent’s weigh estimate, which sounds right to me, a Countach Tour 104 would be around 3.4-3.5kg. That sounds like pretty damn good for a spring Eastern Sierra ski.

Even down into a 94 width, that shape and layup would be awesome for the very big missions and as a volcano season. Always wanted to get a skinny Moment touring ski. Which has never existed afaik but hey I can dream!!

A CT 104 Tour piques my interest for sure. Though between the DWT and the Meridian Tour unless it was a significant decrease in weight idk where it would fit in the quiver. The DWT is just so good when the snow is suboptimal

added the CT to my quiver last season but will be skiing it this season. Pretty excited honestly. Taking that and my dw 104 to beaver creek in Jan.

Likely adding the commander 92 this season to complement my commander 98 for the low tide firm days. Excited for the reserve drops. Been mulling over adding franks for a few seasons as well as a narrow triple camber fun ski.

I am curious to see some comparison of the dw 104 and new ct 104. Especially for the edge grip and bump friendliness.

I would expect better edge grip on the ct 104 with the longer effective edge and semi flat tail. Same core woods on both so bump friendliness I would think would be similar as well coming down to shape preference with a semi flat tail vs rocker tail.

Interesting take. The triple camber does so well at biting into shit conditions, but still being loose when you want them to. It would be interesting to compare these two.

I know folks that don't like the triple camber feel. One of my buddies loved the WC108, but hated the DW104. He said that they folded up under him. My take is that the tip engaged too hard for his style. They will definitely pull you into a turn if you engage them hard. It's part of what I like about them. You can really vary the turn shape by how hard you engage the tips.

Mine got some rail time in the spring and aren't as sharp as they once we're. I'll be interested to see if I feel the need to tune them this winter.

I love both my wc108 and dw104. Haven’t had a chance to get on my CT yet so excited to finally use them this season. Firmly expect to enjoy my CT more than my regular DW just because of the added stiffness

Blister is entitled to their own opinion, but I would disagree with them. I skied the Deathwish for 3 years, and came to my conclusion skiing the Countach for only a half day. It was clear and obvious.

Deathwish carve better even though I've never skied Countach.

However, other factors come into place...what kind of bindings, mounting location and ski boots. Sorry, but you'll never lay a carve in leather boots.
