In terms of ski characteristics, how come the meridan tour hasn't stayed in moment's "official" lineup? Not enough people liking full rocker at that width? Too stiff?

Have you skied the regular layup meridian?

Man the Commanders look so sweet. Are you going to be running demo days this year?

Moment Skis Discussion
I don’t own any touring skis, I just put a cast on all of the sets I own. So you can take my opinion for what it is. I have both the regular meridian and the wc108 in my current quiver.
I have and still tour on the wc108 and the regular meridian. I think the lack of popularity might be due to skiers not being fully comfortable with a full rockered ski that is not a pow specific tool only. That being said I think the wc108/DW are more popular in the touring modes because folks ski touring don’t know how to set a skin track (they go straight up). That’s been the only limitation I have found with a the meridian is going up hill when I don’t set the skin track myself (small contact patch on firmer snow).
When it comes to the down the fully rockered ski makes for a blast on anything that isn’t completely frozen. That’s where the wc108/DW shine because they have camber underfoot so they handle very firm/ icy conditions better.

We also use European Beech on the Commander series.
We tested so many variations of a Deathwish 104 from materials to sidecuts. We didn't just scale down the OG Deathwish.
Yes, Beech is a heavier and more dense wood than Ash so it does provide a more stable platform in harder snow that you most likely encounter on a 104 ski vs a 112 ski.
We also found the ski to be a lot more torsionally rigid and quicker edge to edge with the Beech.

You had at least one graphic by B Casimes several years ago, right?
