Let me preface this by saying that I've owned and loved all the Moment skis I've had. As another mag just mentioned above, these skis don't die - their build quality and durability is legendary.

Having said that, should I have any hesitation about putting a second mount in my Moment Deathwish Tour skis? With the lighter core and all? I'm sure it'll hold but wondering if anyone else has experience putting multiple mounts in Moment touring skis (or other light skis for that matter).

No concerns. But you might do the smart thing and plug them with hardwood dowels rather than shitty plastic plugs.

    Sincerely,

    Shitty plastic plugs user.

I'm 5' 11" / 180-185 pounds. The 184cm WC 108's are pretty darn stable for that length. I was torn between 184 / 190 and I'm glad I went shorter... which is not usually the case. For reference, I'd definitely get the regular Wildcats in 190cm but I wanted the 108's to be just a bit quicker in tight spaces.

Stoked to try these 190 Wildcats after how much I loved the 108’s the last season and a half. Top sheets are sweet too.

These things are sick. And the most Robust feeling skis I've ever felt. They seem like they are nearly indestructible. My first but definitely not last pair of Moment Skis

Flex feels damned near ideal for my tastes.

Can't wait for snow to start falling.

Yes. Went from shift to tecton on wildcat 190. I wasn’t particularly tough on that pair of skis, but toured many low tide days and never had any issues. 6’ 165-170.

Repaired with HW dowels, not plugs. Follow the Margotron method.

Moment really killed it with the topsheets this year! So many good looking skis on this page right now.

    Camber flavor

Stocked to see photos of the Ghost Train, which i owned. Such a machine for any condition and terrain.

But I am looking for new a large ski for touring (pow days). I would just want to know how much camber respectively have the Wildcat Tour 108 & 118.

    Thanks in advance

^ there is a small amount of camber in the Wildcat 118, enough to make it absolutely rip on form, but also smear and slarve in powder. I’d say it’s one of the most versatile skis I’ve owned. I believe the moment website has all the specs on camber, but I loved it in Japan powder, Montana, and Teton couloirs

Does anyone have any preferences for Wildcat 101 bindings? Realize it's a new model, so I guess what did you like on your PB&Js? I'm trying to have as much of quiver tour-ready given circumstances so I'm considering going CAST though I'm wondering if I'm just better off sticking an alpine binding on there and having a more dedicated ~100mm width touring setup.

According to different online sources, there seems to have more camber on the tour version of the Wildcat.
Looking something like a small Ghost Train for touring, I am prone to like something with very few camber underfoot.
So how much camber in millimeter has the Wildcat tour ?

Curious how you like the Meridians for touring? Have and love the Bananas and noticed a lot of Meridians last time I was at Big Sky. I’ve been considering a pair of Meridians as a multi purpose daily driver, just wish they were a touch wider

Wait, are those the 117’s??? I really wish they hadn’t stopped making those, that would be a no brainer for me...

    R to L

CMD 108 @194 (bc y’all were giving me shit bout getting old)
    Transition
    CMD 98
    DeathWish
    Meridian 117
FrankenBlade soon to be my jorts & headband wearing, rando ski

The Meridian117 is a hoot to tour on, unless you are on glaze, then the ski’s reverse camber it’s not ur pal, I actually like these as an Early Season DD - as you have to be balanced, but can pivot anything.

The bananas are basically 123mm Meridians. And they’re ridiculously good.

Thanks guys! Really wish Moment could find a sweet spot in the middle somewhere, I guess maybe 112ish, idk??? I know I’m an outlier but 107 is just shy of DD duty for me, I hate splitting hairs and I’m sure I could get along with a 107, but I was hair pull trigger finger on those 117s before they went away.
