What are y'alls opinions on the CB being available next fall or the fall after? I want one for when I move back to the PNW, but I'm in school on the east coast right now. Buying an expensive powder ski feels like a poor decision while unemployed, but if they stop making it I'll have some serious FOMO. I mostly ask because it's been consistent in the reserve collection for a few years now, so it feels like it's time is coming up.

You’d have a shot at a new or used pair in the future.
In general, I wouldn’t buy any gear I didn’t have an immediate use for. I’d wait until you’re settled somewhere you can use them, have money, and can mount and ski them soon.
My senior year of college I bought my dream skis but actually never got them mounted as life changed quickly. I sold them and lost a bit of money but was overall more than a bit bummed.

well surely you have reason since you guys make/have made skis with bamboo cores? I think forumskier was hinting at the fact they might be more jibbier/lighter?
not sure if its the way on3p mills their cores, but the bamboo in their skis have an excellent flex imo
I haven't personally skied a moment with bamboo but ive also heard great things in regard to flex/rebound

I don't need bamboo, FloridaSnow was making a suggestion for my thought process. I have really enjoyed heavier bamboo cores though. I haven't skied an On3p in a while, but used to have a lot of them. I know Heritage Lab is using bamboo and when I skied a pair last season they were uber damp with a fun but sturdy flex profile.
I mainly just don't want triple camber. I haven't even tried it, but I get the feeling I'd be sensitive to any minor quirks/features it might have. I am going to demo a pair this season though, and might have to eat my words. My brother has a pair of 184 DWs from 7-8 years ago, but I'd like to get on the current version of 190s.
I love Wildcats, but also enjoy slightly softer skis of this type (still with long turn radius) and was thinking DW without triple would be fun to try. This is all just boredom and thinking about weird stuff while I wait for ski season to kick off.

It works great in certain builds, nothing against bamboo skis as I've liked a bunch of models that have had it in them in the past. Bamboo is pretty heavy generally, and it's why ON3P's truck through stuff and feel really damp, along with the extra thick base etc...
It's just the most requested thing I get here at the shop, but when I ask why bamboo, most of the time I get a response of "idk I think it'd be sweet", almost as if they want bamboo in the construction purely because it's a buzz word.
It's gotten to the point where someone will ask me "what if..." and I immediately respond with bamboo core? And I'm right 95% of the time.
So maybe I'm just being triggered

This...'business model' is basically just looking at other people's stuff for sale on various platforms here in Japan and reposting it wholesale at a big markup without asking the seller. If you hit buy on ebay and it's just sold on the original site you're SOL. I've found stuff of mine reposted and I'm personally not a fan.
This is the owner's posting...at $1,081

I saw on Instagram that they now offer free shipping to Canada on skis ( like probably a plane, not actually on skis) but who knows about duty. They are made in USA so in theory NAFTA should be applicable?
I wanna order some t shirts but the duty thing always scares me off

I saw some praise on skitalk about your experience with the ghost train. Do you mind elaborating your experience across Alta’s terrain with the ski and a deep dive review of the ski? I pay well lol.
Also sounds like we both fell into skiing around the same time, also due to sports reasons growing up.

The GT is skiable on more days than I would have thought. It's very easy to pivot and floats A LOT better than the nanner. Now of course that makes them less of a steam roller in chop but they do a pretty could job of holding their own in that arena. I think a lot of that comes from the ski constantly staying on top of the snow. For Alta pow days I think if you paired it with something in the 110-12 range it could serve as your only pow ski. My buddy spent a day at snowbasin on mine and picked one up on the drop this time around. It's a really fun ski.
