New Deathwish showed up today, love the graphics. My wife immediately noticed how well they will go with my boots, I would never have given that a thought. I think this is the 19th pair of Moments we have had in the family. Number gets bumped by Granddaughter having five pair as she has grown out of skis. Wife has had three pair of Sierra's plus a Zephyr and Bella and these are my fourth pair of DW's, mounting Strive's on them.Click image for larger version.

I love my Countach 110s. Dreaming of a Countach 116 with a slightly softer tip flex, maybe even a touch more taper. That would be a SICK pow ski. Big time Governor vibes throwing back to old school Moment.
I skied with you in Mammoth on the 196 Governors a while back. I could never get along with that softer tip outside of pow or groomed, I had similar issues with a couple Nordicas Enforcers. I felt I could charge significantly harder on 190 Wildcats in less smooth conditions, even though I do tend to prefer directional skis mostly.

I didn’t have this issue on 196 Bibby Specials from over a decade ago, which were similar to Governor but heavier and slightly stiffer tip. The BSpecial had more taper in the tip so float was similar, and I think I recall they carved better too. I had 190 Bibbys and 196 Bibby Special at the same time during 2013 season in Jackson, and I always thought Special charged harder. Had 190 Wildcats and 196 Govs back 5 years ago, and was surprised when Wildcats were faster for me.

I kinda want those 196 Wildcats in Ski Burger for the feelz

It’s just went from aspen/pine to ash/poplar. The 101 got a dual radius while the pbj is one. Flex profiles are basically the same
I didn’t see this comment. I love/hate reddit. Lots of good info, but also lots of people talking out their ass.

I really want to try 190 WC101, however a used 188 PB&J would be perfect right now. My budget, and I’d prefer shorter in the park. Still thinking about those WC101s in SLC tho.

I missed out on the 182 pb&j’s I was trying to snag. They went for more than I was willing to shell out for a 2015 version

    I had these ones previously.

Fairly stiff skis that were super playful. Not as charger as my current WC108s, and the 108s probably carve just as well, but I remember 188 PB&Js being more playful (more nimble and precise in the park)

This guy is always listing moments from Japan. Always over priced but a lot of rare stuff as well.

My oldest is outgrowing his JagShark 146 Carsons. If any dads are holding or you come across any, and I am looking for a pair of 152s. Would prefer to go used route as I also need to increase his race ski quiver... Totally open to any colorways and vintages (sierras also).

Dropped in to Moment today to get some skis tuned and the Meridian Tours mounted with the ATKs I got from BeHuWe. Then I stopped by Ben’s house to grab the Pivots he sold me. He is my ski crap pusher man. His little tiny baby is pretty cute also. Click image for larger version.

Those aren’t the skis he was selling. I mean exactly the same, but not his.

feel like those are the perfect conditions for the 104 if he did. I’d be on my 104 for sure over my 112 skiing that.

Skier666 only crushes with the DW112. He’s by far the greatest prophet of the dw112 as a one ski quiver on here.

    Skier666 fkn rips.

How can I demo 190 DWs this winter? It’s about time I try them. What’s the demo situation out of Reno for this upcoming Winter?

if it’s the same process as last season you have to buy the demo pass for $50. Gives you unlimited demos throughout the season. If you purchase a ski from that current season your $50 will go towards the purchase of your new ski.

He's a big part of why I grabbed DW's. I ski both the 104 and 112. 90% of my time is on the 104. It's a damn good ski. I've been completely happy on it to 10-12" of fresh snow, but you can still push it really hard on firmer conditions. The 112 is also rad. I could daily it if it weren't for having skied the 104. They truly are the same ski, just a bit narrower. Exactly as you'd expect. Just a bit quicker edge to edge.

The DW is my spirit animal. They match my mood no matter what that is.

truly not the same ski just narrower. Different cores, different dual radius, different layup , different mount point. Same idea with triple camber but definitely not the same ski just narrower. Theres a reason the 104 can be pushed harder compared to the 112. I have both as well and would never say it’s the same ski just narrower. Like you i prefer the 104 over my 112. If the 112 skied exactly like the 104 it would be hard for me to say which is my favorite, but they don’t.

I've tried my son's DW 104 on the groomers and they really charge and carve. I'm mainly on the DW112 99% of the time, so the 104 felt like a much more lively, damp, easy to roll over and carve type of ski. I like big carves, so I generally use a wider stance so I don't mind rolling over the wider skis to get on edge.

The Summer snow...yes, maybe a less waisted ski would be better, but its also nice to have a wider platform to glide over the bumps in truly horrendous conditions. :-)
