RIP Mean Gene
I used to love watching wrestling in the 80s. He was a staple in professional rastlin’ and one of the most recognizable voices in the industry.

I remember him all the way back to the Minnesota AWA days with Bobby Heenan, Larry "The Axe" Henning, etc.. before Hulk Hogan arrived on the scene.

Positive vibes to family and friends ++++++
Dad used to take me to downtown Los Angeles for the show.
We had Bobo Brazil and Freddie Blassie back then.
He would cut himself with a razor blade and bleed all over the ring.
Loved those shows. I was probably 6 or 7 years old then.

Yes! I was trying to remember the name.
Thankyou.

Classsy Freddie was Nick Bockwinkle's manager when I was in high school. My friend's dad ran a restaurant club they all hung out in. He got us pretty good AWA ringside seats sometimes.
