i just picked up some blizzard brahma - 180 cm - to replace my old blizzard brahma, i demo'd the enforcer '93 185 and didn't like it, people say it skis short but i'm not sure i agree
i've read good things about J Skis - The Masterblaster but didn't get the chance to demo

I have a newer bonafide (one in video below) and earlier version of the brahma in 187. I came in here to recommend the bonafide to compliment a 118 ski. The newer version rips for me at least
here is one of blizz's athletes on the bone. not east coast ice, but it can hold it's own railing turns and is pretty versatile.

Kastle mx 88 was on my list as well. Thanks for the nod. You're not far from my size so that's a good sign. That ski is a bit harder to find a screaming deal on. I ain't been in gear swap in ages maybe I'll post a wtb.

I have some monster 98s in a 184 I’d sell you. Good shape, but on their second mount.
focus.

The Enforcer definitely skis short no question about it. If you've been on enough skis it's kind of incontrovertible. Not a bad thing. Just something to be aware of.

The tension between skis like the Monster 98/Kastle MX and Enforcer series/similar is mostly about tail shape. Kastles have square, flat tails. Enforcers have tail rocker.
To state the obvious, the more focused you are on nuking groomers, the better the square flat tail is. The more focused you are on skiing bumps and trees the better some tail rocker is. I personally focus on bumps and trees so I take the performance hit on groomers at speeds I can't hit safely due to crowds most of the time anyway.

Went from east to west and I’m back east again this year. I’m 6’1’’ 175 lbs.
When there’s isn’t any fresh (most days), I’m on either Enforcer 93s or Kore 93s.
Find myself on Enforcer 93s on crappiest, iciest days. Kore 93s on “softer”, hard packed (but non-ice rink) days

Right on.
Like others in here, I've made that transition from West to back East and it's not easy especially as I get older. I'm such a powder snob no matter how hard I try to over come it. Snowboarding is a different challenge to keep me interested. I've always dabbled with it, but still suck, so there is room for improvement. Skiing and tele skilz are on a downward trajectory from those younger years and 100+ days.
