A bit of this story does not add up and/or OP does come off as a bit of a fuck-wit.
So you and your buddy’s skis are the only two on the racks? But Jerry decides to split the skis? That doesn’t work so well when there are only two pairs of skis. Did some jaded local throw Jerry’s skis in the woods for splitting them up?
$1200 for Mantas and Salomon demo bindings? If it comes down to it buy new mantras and Salomon demo bindings and not pay shop fuck head $1200.
And I can think of reasons why there would be Salomons on Volkls but not as many as why aren’t there Markers on those Volkls.
Shop fucker and Jerry clearly are not destined to spend a life together, was there other shit between them before this?
My gut is shop fucker stole the skis, to sell himself while fleecing Jerry more than MSRP. Shop price should be about $750 after shipping and hand jobs.

I don’t see why he couldn’t be charged for it. If it’s his day off and he rents a pair of skis just like any other Jerry why wouldn’t he be liable for the cost? That being said, y’all would be surprised how few cameras most ski resorts have. Having cameras opens you up to a whole world of lawsuits that would never happen without footage.

he may or may not be liable for the missing skis. That isn’t the point. The shop owner cannot decide on his own that this liability actually exists. He has to go through the legal system obtain the right to garnish the workers wages for the alleged loss....

This. If the story is real, which seems unlikely, there are too many fishy spots. Shop doesn't pay retail for skis or bindings. Why wouldn't he be charged for shop cost? Why does some dude come on here looking for them? Seems random. Why is said dude so committed to accusing TGR crowd? Seems like a troll or a smokescreen. "Hey look - I went on TGR and those fuckers took them! I didn't steal them or anything, boss!"

5 years too old. If this story is true, it's a shitty situation, but like others said, coming on here asking for help while being a dick about isn't getting the OP anywhere with this crowd. I think people would be more likely to help with a simple, "hey my skis got jacked, is you see them on CL or ebay please let me know."
